This was a very clean and comfortable cabin. It was an excellent location for driving to our many hiking trailheads. Note that both bathrooms are downstairs and the stairs to the upper bedrooms is rather steep, which can be an issue for older folks. The kitchen was very well equipped with lots of dishes, cookware and flatware. Both there isn't much else, only salt and pepper and coffee. We needed to add kitchen storage containers, plastic wrap, aluminum foil, tissues, condiments, laundry detergent, etc. Just be prepared.

My husband, 2 sons & their wives, & I stayed for several days in this wonderful cabin. It was perfect. It's a great size for the 6 of us, but certainly room for more. Even my husband & I, who have (lack of) sleeping issues & prefer to sleep separately, had plenty of room. The beds were comfortable, & the pillows adequate. If you were to have a larger group & everyone used all the beds (9 beds including futon) & pillows, I might suggest bringing your own pillow or two. There was plenty of good pillows for the 6 of us, but a few are maybe not the fullness that one would like & you might want to double up, so that is why the suggestion of bringing your own.I made several (from scratch) meals, as well as a double layer cake that I needed specific pots and pans, as well as utensils, measuring cups & spoons. I brought everything I needed since I was aware of Greer's lack of shopping options & distance to the nearest. Turned out that the cabin is extremely well stocked & had almost everything I needed. I put away most of what I brought. I think I only used my vegetable steamer, hand mixer for the cake, my 1/4 cup measuring cup (it was the only one missing - so obviously you could use the 1/2 cup that is there & just minimize the quantity), & cake pans. But when you read the reviews saying the cabin has pretty much everything you'd need, you can't always be assured of those sort of "specialty items". The basic cooking needs is a given, but this cabin honestly had a fully stocked kitchen. The few items I used of my own, I could have improvised with something else.In my rating I didn't give a full 5 stars to "Communication with the property manager", but that was only because it wasn't always immediate, but it was always extremely reasonably timely. I do understand that the area can be spotty with cell & internet reception, & the receiver of the text message or email message may not happen to be in the right spot at the right time to receive it. So if you are reading this, please know that the owner Kathy, & her agent Alma, were VERY good about getting back to you in a timely fashion. Prior to the actual stay I had a few communications with Kathy, & she was always great with getting back to me within a few days. I had one question about the fire ring outside once we were there, & Alma got back to me very quickly with the answer.Sorry for the long explanation, but I try to put the type of info that I find helpful when I'm reading reviews
