About this campground/ rv resort rental

Your health and safety comes first to us! We are using products approved by the CDC to eradicate any lingering germs, bacteria, and viruses. We are taking extra precautions by ensuring all commonly touched surfaces are wiped down completely. The linens, towels, bed sheets, etc. are washed per manufacturers guidelines. The Peacock Pad is a clean, comfortable home and will be a place you will want to return to again. There is a wild peacock that has been known to roam and admire himself in the reflection of the large windows. The Peacock Pad is modern and elegant, with tasteful and minimal décor. It is conveniently located mid way between two main towns on the North Olympic Peninsula, Sequim and Port Angeles. It is hidden away at the end of a road in the best kept local secret; a very small, award-winning community over looking the Strait of Juan de Fuca. It has a unique access to the beach via a five minute hiking trail along a creekside which forms a lagoon at the end before spilling into the Strait. Beachcombing is a must on this special stretch of beach. Wildlife watching and photographing is a part of the entire experience here. The deer will be seen just outside your window and the eagles will be perched in the trees as you enjoy the views of the water.
The three bedroom peacock pad is ornately decorated and tastefully equipped with everything you will need to enjoy yourself. All bedrooms have comfortable mattresses, two queen beds, and one standard double bed, and a comfortable living room. Sleeps 6 in beds. Washer/dryer, glass top stove, dishwasher. 2 full bathrooms.

You will share our private beach trail with our other guests at Hunters' Gate Homes. It is a gated, five minute hike with some large steps which are not easily navigated by small children or inexperienced hikers. Once down to the bottom you will be rewarded with a beautiful beach where the fresh creek water forms a lagoon that spills out into the salt water Strait of Juan de Fuca. You can walk and beach comb to the Dungeness Spit or head in a westerly direction toward Port Angeles.

The quaint little neighborhood store, Agnew Grocery & Feed, is only a five minute drive away, offering fresh local produce and a large selection of wine and other refreshments besides the basic grocery items. Sunny Farms Country Store is only ten minutes away where you'll find a larger variety of items including a deli and a fresh fish and meat market.

There are four restaurants all within a ten minute drive which are all highly recommended. If you want to venture further away, both Sequim and Port Angeles each only a twenty minute drive offer many more choices for shopping and dining.

The start of the road up to Hurricane Ridge and the Olympic National Park is a short twenty minute drive. You can plan longer day trips to the Pacific Ocean and the Hoh Rainforest and return after your adventure to our quiet, restful, tranquil treasure, the Peacock Pad.

Everything was as expected and as advertised. Great place to stay... clean... and quiet! We had a short vacation to Port Angeles with another couple and this house was perfect.

The house was quite comfortable for 2 kids and 4 adults. It was spacious and well furnished and we loved the peacock themed decor! The walk down to the beach was stunning - although steep - not for those with bad knees. We went every day for a few hours. Communication with Marjory was easy - she quickly responded to my questions. All in all a great experience- we will definitely be back next time we are in the area!

Wonderful, quiet location with a great trail down to the rocky beach. Beautiful stay, responsive host, and lovely home. Very happy we stayed here. It is an easy day trip drive to Olympic national Park or other activities. Lots of deer and other wildlife to see.
