About this house rental
Tucked away in the Laurel Highlands Mountains, Yough Mountain House sits on 10 acres of land, one mile from the Youghiogheny River, two miles away from the small town of Confluence, and 2 1/2 miles from the Great Allegheny Passage bike trail. Our custom built home is well equipped and clean. The open floor plan in the kitchen/living area and large deck with grill provide a wonderful place to socialize. The house has many windows and a beautiful view of Sweet Run Hollow Creek which runs alongside the entire stretch of property that lies amongst a ten acre lot. Yough Mountain House can accommodate between 2-8 people. We have 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths, and a pull-out sleeper sofa. The master bedroom has a king sized bed and full bath including a jacuzzi tub and a beautifully designed, separate standing glass encased shower. The second and third bedrooms have queen sized beds and share a separate full sized bathroom. Without leaving our property you can enjoy the natural beauty of the area while relaxing on our spacious deck, which includes a patio set, hot tub and grill. The Yough Mountain House has beautiful views during all four distinct seasons and is in close proximity to various events that occur throughout the year.

The hot tub was great, and the property was beautiful. It was serene and quiet. The only issue we had was with the dishwasher. We couldn’t get it to clean the dishes, but that wasn’t any big deal.

POSITIVES Kitchen very well stockedLots of countertop space & attractiveDining table large in bright spacerecliner comfy w. throwsSpacious beautiful master bath (but don't run the water -rotten egg stench), so forget the pretty shower and jetted tubsome really nice decorNEGATIVES -Very dated lovkbox, Manuel & difficult to reach, see & work.-all steps, including deck, covered with green moss/mildew. Siding too.-Entry door, awful, very faded red paint, worn through-Enter to very poorly painted walls with TERRIBLE musty cigarette smell, & coat closet with no door-dining area bright but windows so dirty -Yar: Grass was ankle high. Looked like an abandoned trailer in the middle of a field. --No idea which of 3 doors was entry.-table on deck-one entire piece gone. Replaced with soggy, warped plywood-no chairs for dilapidated table. They were way over by "firepit". Not that you could enjoy the crapy table or deck.-water ABSOLUTELY unusable. Stank awful of sulfer/rotten eggs.-dining table had 2 old, sturdy comfortable seats, the rest were rickety straight, short seated. -rips in furniture and wall hangings-trash had to be carried to end of longish driveway put in dumpster. -weeds around all stairs and deck were calf to knee high. -recliner throw was dirty- some floors were dirty-driveway has large potholes-ALERT: I TEXTED TO INQUIRE WHAT 2 NIGHTS WOULD COST, after no reply, texted we'd made other plans. SOMEHOW RECEIVED NEW CHARGE FOR 2 NIGHTS!!
