About this apartment rental

Portree is the main town on the Isle of Skye and the Apartment overlooks, though slightly set back from the main town square.
If you are looking to be in the centre of the Island then you have come to the right place. This is a great location to base yourself from.
The Apartment has just been upgraded with a new fully integrated kitchen and bathroom and redecorated throughout.
You will see from the pictures that we have put our hearts in it.
There is free wifi throughout, and a smart TV in the living room as well as a multi fuel stove for those cold winter nights.
The view is out over the town square and across to the local mountain Ben Tianaviag. 5 minutes from the harbour, a seconds from a range of bars and restaurants in Portree you cannot go wrong.
All you need to live home from home.
Utilities include washer dryer, dishwasher, American fridge freezer, oven and ceramic hob.

The Apartment did not offer many of the features that were advertised in the listing and on which we based our choice for this accommodation. The TV didn’t work (was replaced on our last day), fireplace was boarded up, dryer didn’t work, toilet had no lid (was fixed in our last day). There were no instructions on how to use the heating system. It took two days to receive a response to my many emails. My phone calls were unanswered. The whole experience was very frustrating. It is WAY overpriced for what it offers. I definitely would NOT recommend this place.

Overall, my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated this property during our four night stay in Portree. Perfect location to explore many areas on the Isle Of Skye. Very convenient to restaurants, cafes and shops in the center of town. Nice walks around Portree as well. Clean, quiet and comfortable. There are stairs to the apartment but we knew this ahead of time. The only reason we are not rating five stars is because we had trouble checking in. We were not familiar with the heating system and couldn't figure out how to turn the heat and water heater on. No instructions to be found and it was very cold in the apartment. WiFi info was inaccurate. We had no issues contacting the property manager but it took about two hours for the heat to be resolved. WiFi was resolved promptly the next morning. It was stressful after travelling all day and could have been avoided by simply having instructions posted by the thermostat and accurate info for the WiFi. Regardless, the apartment was enjoyable and definitely met all of our needs. We loved MacKenzie's bakery. Co-op grocery short drive away.

Comfortable, well-equipped flat next to the main square having restaurants, pubs, a bakery and grocer and gift shopping. We had a car and it was nice to have dedicated parking. Easy check in/out. I would stay here again and/or recommend to others.

We managed to get a replacement apartment when the original booking was cancelled by the owner. But what a treat we had with the apartment we chose as replacement. We couldn't be happier. All that we wanted in the apartment exceeded our expectations. There was all the utensils we needed to cook a hearty meal although we only used the basic kettle, glasses and refrigerator etc. We will definitely choose this if we ever come to Portree again. The weather took a nasty turn due to a cold snap so our second day was spent in the apartment or meandering the village. But we made the best of it. Thank you John for making the stay so enjoyable.

We greatly enjoyed our stay at The Apartment in Portree! We were in town for a few days and it was wonderful to have a nice place to come back whenever needed. Such a lovely residence, the Old Rectory has so much charm and is finished to such a high standard...if I could have shipped the bed home, I would have done...so luxurious! There was a few bits of maintenance to be completed but nothing to spoil the stay...HIGHLY recommend

Really nice apparment in a town with a large supermarket :)The location is not far from the hiking spots on skye and also the ferry to harris from Uig. The kitchen equiment was also everything you need for cooking. The parking spot infront of the apparment was also great.

The Apartment proved a great place to ground our exploration of the beautiful Isle of Skye. It is walking distance to all the shops and amenities of Portree but far enough from the Main Street to be quiet. The space is great for a family or 2 couples with room to stretch out and relax after a day exploring. The eat in kitchen was great for breakfast or if you decide to bring in dinner. I highly recommend.

Clean and reasonably well supplied except only a part roll of paper towels and no instructions on trash removal. Could use a small bench to sit on to put on shoes in ground floor hall and some coat hooks upstairs inside the apt door opposite the sitting room door. Comfortable.

This is a beautiful apartment located above a church in a quiet corner just off the main square. Close to town and restaurants. Also close to buses and cab stand. The apartments was spacious, sunny, clean and beautifully decorated…a space of calm after a hectic day. We especially enjoyed the soaking tub after hiking and the full kitchen with washer/ dryer unit. The Wi-Fi and television service worked great. And it is well-insulated from sound. The high end soaps and hair care products were a nice touch and the towels were soft. We highly recommend this apartment for anyone visiting Portree.

This property was very clean and the directions to access the keys were very detailed and clearly written. It was very spacious giving my husband and daughter and her husband plenty of room to move around and watch tv together or hang out in the kitchen. It was in a great location as far as steps from downtown. We were able to walk around and pick up and local needs from the local co/op. Overall we would definitely stay here again.

Pros Centrally located - you couldn't get closer to the action if you camped on the town square. Close to pharmacy, market, deli, and everything else. Private parking place - bonus! Wonderfully responsive team before, during, and after our visit. Beautifully decorated, and the welcome bottle of wine was an unexpected surprise. Cons: Not a thing. Wished we could have stayed here longer, it's that nice a place.

Stayed at the Apartment for 4 nights at the end of October. Really lovely place to stay. Great location, nice and central. Inside it’s really comfortable, we were just a couple but plenty room for 4 if need be. Well equipped with everything you could possibly need. The owners were easy to get in touch with if need be. WIFI was great. Can’t fault the place, would definitely go back if visit Skye again.

The apartment may not have had a view but it was a perfect spot. Literally looking right at the main square of Portree it was in the heart yet secluded. It was very clean and well equipped.
