About this lodge
Skye Lodge is 725 square feet luxury lodge apartment on the top floor of a private vacation home. Located on a cliff wall 150 Ft. above the canyon floor in the heart of Spearfish Canyon where Spearfish Canyon and Roughlock Canyon join. Spearfish Falls and Roughlock Falls can be accessed from the house or by a hiking trail across the access road from the lodge. FANTASTIC VIEWS, WILDLIFE, BIRDS OF PREY (BALD EAGLES, PEREGINE FALCONS, OSPREYS, VULTURES ), HIKING, BIKING, ROCK CLIMBING, PHOTOGRAPHY, TROUT FISHING , OR JUST HANGING OUT. THE STARS AT NIGHT. --- GREAT COUPLES RETREAT. --
Your apartment has a private entrance and deck with BBQ and seating. Inside the apartment you will find a full kitchen with dishwasher, copper sink, condiments, coffee beans and grinder. dining table, hardwood floors, leather furniture, 3 by 6 tiled shower, small library, one queen and one full bed, wifi and streaming tv. 12 miles to Deadwood and 12 miles to Spearfish.
IN THE SUMMER WE HAVE NESTING PEREGRIN FALCONS ON THE CLIFF WALL BEHIND THE HOUSE AND NESTING OSPREY FALCONS 1/2 MILE DOWN THE ROAD THAT HUNT A POND AT THE DRIVEWAY ENTRANCE.
This is a laid back shoes off at the door kind of place. - -------

The stay was fantastic. The property is so well appointed, clean and beautiful. I always bring things along just in case we need them and everything was so great, we didn't need anything I brought (think TP, spices, salt and pepper, etc). The property owner communicated so well and accommodated my last minute request for a change. You need to be prepared for a very steep driveway. We barely made it a couple times. BUT- so worth it for the amazing views. I would absolutely recommend to anyone that just needs a small place to stay. My husband and I loved it so much!

Gorgeous! The place was clean and wonderfully decorated. The views were amazing!Host was wonderful to talk to and offered many tips of things in the area. Maps were included of things to see/visit.Can't wait to stay again!

Beautiful views -great for stargazing and enjoying sunrise and sunset.Greg is a very friendly host. Appreciated the local maps as well!
