About this cottage rental
Come and enjoy a week (or more) getaway at this cozy camp on Embden pond! It is one of the cleanest lakes in the state of Maine and boasts of stunning sunset views! Memories are waiting to be made - whether it's enjoying your morning coffee or tea on the screened in porch, sharing stories and s'mores around the campfire, taking boat rides around the lake, or swimming or fishing off the dock. Make this not only your summer destination, but winter as well, as it is a great place for snowmobiling and ice fishing, and only 45 minutes to the iconic Sugarloaf ski mountain!
4 BEDROOMS:
- downstairs bedroom with queen bed (air conditioning)
- upstairs bedroom #1: bunk bed and twin bed (air conditioning)
- upstairs bedroom #2: full bed (air conditioning)
- upstairs bedroom #3: bunk bed and twin bed (air conditioning)
BATHROOMS:
- 1 downstairs half bath
- 1 upstairs full bath
OUTDOORS:
- large deck with picnic tables
- screened in porch
- large front lawn to enjoy a number of fun activities
- fireplace for campfires right next to the water
- large dock over 40 feet long that allows you to enjoy the sun and all water activities
INDOORS:
- FREE WIFI
- Full furnace heat
- Air conditioning in all bedrooms
- large kitchen stocked with appliances such as a gas cook stove, dishwasher, refrigerator, and microwave
- walk-out basement with an additional cement deck under the porch
WHAT'S IN THE AREA:
- boat landing (5 minutes)
- some of the best hunting and snowmobile trails in Maine. Snowmobilers have access to all the major trail systems through the entire state.
- connected to the ATV trails
- Enjoy a meal at the Evergreen Campground - great breakfasts for a great price! (10 minutes)
- stop by Vicneire's Elm Street Market or the Solon Market for grocery needs, fishing worms, etc. (10 minutes)
- Walmart (20 minutes)
- beyond that, not a whole lot! But isn't that the point!? Get away, unplug, unwind and enjoy the lake!

“Picture perfect” stay once again! Would not look elsewhere! The accommodations are comfortable welcoming and inclusive. The owners are accommodating and aim to make your experience complete from A to Z. We will be back! Embden is as close to heaven as one can get on earth. Thanks for another amazing vacation.

The location is lovely. Unfortunately, the weather we had was consistently not great, so we were pretty bummed. We were also a little surprised at the state of the place for the price. We understand a few things needing a fix/refresh, though there were several on the list. Communication with the hosts was great as there were several things that weren't ready for us when we arrived which they took care of quickly. Our toddler was thrilled by the bunk beds and had so much fun in the yard and we saw a couple loons and were able to kayak a couple times and see the stars the last night. Also grateful for the kind and conscientious neighbors. Next time hopefully the sun will shine more and we can swim without shivering!
