Guests will be greeted to the second floor of the Main House to an open living area with gulf views. The living room has seating for six, and a large flat screen TV. This property checks a lot of boxes. Great set up. Great location. Nice pool. Gulf front. But… this property is in desperate need of some attention. Within an hour of arrival , the bunk latter rung broke in half with my 4 year old grandson. The next day, a step down to the beach was so rotten that it broke in half with my daughter. The railing on the upstairs balcony was cracked in half and held together with strapping. The internet was very antiquated and unreliable. The property manager was attentive and had it patched quickly. There were other issues such as a broken dryer, and a malfunctioning shower head. We have paid the same price point for a much nicer property in the same area. I would choose another property next time.

Our stay @ Hakuna Matata (06/17-24/2017) has been wonderful, in spite of TS Cindy who tried to spoil our vacay. This beautiful home away from home has totally won us over. The comfortable carriage house and fabulous main house is perfect for my group of 18 "mostly" adults! I spent mornings in the sunroom with other early risers enjoying the stunning view of the gulf and a good cup of coffee. Hakuna Matata comes equipped with everything from beach toys to Keurig Coffee Makers, ice machines, wifi and much more. We are a family who loves to cook so the grills outside and TWO great kitchens fit us perfectly. The beach view is great and we spent plenty of time on our "private beach" when TS Cindy took a breather! The pool and two raised decks, wonderful shaded area around the pool offered great places for us to gather, relax, cool down and picnic. All in all the house is perfect. I do have to mention the stairs up from ground level and then out to the beach might be a bit much for elders or peeps who need assistance. Plenty of parking, great garage and courtyard between main and carriage house are extras we appreciated. Our management company was the best to work with from reservation, maintenance and concierge. Thank you for a great vacation. We will be back.

This home is located on the beach next to a private green space and a well landscape area on the other side, very private in the mist of a busy area, we live in a rural area and this was perfect.
It was a very short safe bike ride to downtown for the teens, seems to be where the kids hang out a few hours a day.
This home accommodates large groups, with two homes, each with 4 bed rooms, 4 king in main home with 2 master suites, and a shared bath between the other kings. Kitchen is well equipped but bring sharp knives if you plan on making meals.
The second home has a small view of ocean, because it sits behind the main house but has two king master suites and a two bed bunk room for kids , our kids loved it. The king and bunk share a bath. There is a laundry in each home. Never used this homes kitchen, was small, but looked adequate for preparing breakfast and lunch.
We have rented several homes for vacation, my only disappointment was there were no coffee filters, I know it's a small thing but your first morning and no coffee, you have to go out and buy them instead of enjoying your view, for a few pennies they could supply coffee pot filters. In all the homes I've rented there were always filters and grounds for the first pot of coffee.
We rented a cabana and chairs, they set up daily on beach for us, it's about 75 stairs to beach, and I don't think the home had beach chairs. Long haul for adults.
The home has a private pool, looks small but is adequate and nice pool lounge chairs, and is sheltered from the wind.
Five Star is first class, we had a non working hand mixer sent an email and was replaced in hours on a Sunday, also had a TV that did not work after a big storm and they replaced it the same day with a new one, that's service.
We would rent this home again.

The house has a lot of bugs In downstairs bedrooms and a lot of mold around windows and doors! The pool was great but the pavers around the pool cut up everybody’s feet and toes! They are uneven and need to be fixed! The furniture outside was in terrible shape and in the pics we saw when we rented the property it looked nice with several umbrellas outside but only one Umbrella was present by the pool and one on the upper deck that was broken into and the maintenance guy said someone had broken it and it had not been replaced! If you happen to look under any furniture it was disgusting with Dust, trash and even a dirty qtip was coated with layers of dust. We had a leaking faucet in the kitchen and a dishwasher that did not clean very well and the oven racks did not fit and kept falling when we put food to cook on them! A board going up the stairs when we got there was very loose so the maintenance guy fixed it along with a sink that was stopped up and a shower that held water! Other than that we absolutely had the best time and did not want to complain because the view and ocean and pool were so amazing!! For the amount you’re charging to have this place clean it was extremely disappointing! I even asked the cleaning lady as we were leaving today why they did such a bad job cleaning and she said they only get paid to do deep cleaning twice a year and only do surface quick cleanings!! All of these things I think you need to know so that you can correct it for the next person that stays there because someone will not be as nice as we are about the situation.
