**THIS IS A LEGAL VACATION RENTAL** Alohana Monte Vista 1005. 10th floor 2 Bedroom - Free Wifi, Cable TV & Free Parking. Located beside the Ala Wai Canal this 2 bedroom1 bath condo at the Monte Vista features stunning views of the Ko'olau Mountain range looking across the Ala Wai golf course. The condo has hardwood floors throughout and features a "Jack and Jill bathroom"*. The master bedroom has a queen size bed and a window AC, and the second bedroom has 2 twin beds. The living room has a queen size sleeper sofa with a memory foam mattress, a ceiling fan and a 46" flat screen TV. The full-size kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, 4 burner stove with oven, refrigerator, dining table and a laundry center. There's a pool area with charcoal BBQ and an ocean view but we've also provided 2 backpack beach chairs for adventures on the beach and outdoors!
The rental includes high-speed internet/WIFI, 1 parking
We do not accept 2-night bookings unless they start or end next to another booking. Please contact us for more information regarding 2-night bookings.

Liked the view of the canal, mountains, and golf course. There is quite a bit of deferred maintenance: No pool access, even though it was advertised, vacuum cleaner broken in half, lights not working: kitchen over sink, twin room fan light. Beach chair and umbrella broken, sauce pan(bottom came apart while cooking). Fan towers had dirty filters. Dead bolt needs work. Some water damage on table and bench (laminate a little bubbled). Broken refrig parts, transition board missing to 2nd bedrm. Might consider replacing or getting rid of broken items, added more spoons (only had 2 small), a new broom. A big added item would be a wagon to walk to the beach. It was a convenient location.

Overall property was good. Location right across form the Ala Wai canal, close to Waikiki beach and Kalakaua ave. for shopping and entertainment. Unfortunate timing with hot tub out of service and an emergency water shutoff on the day of departure. Property management team was quick to respond to all questions, overall good place to stay for the value

Pluses: The apartment was very clean and it is a short walk to Waikiki beach-- which was nice. Minuses: This is way too small to be advertised as fitting 6 people, especially if they are adult size. I would never bring little kids to this apartment because it's on the 10th floor, and the door to the balcony doesn't lock. It's super noisy at night from the cars on the street below. The oven only heated up to 350* so when we cooked most of our food it took forever-- like pizza. The AC is in the main bedroom, and it barely cools down the tiny apartment. There was a fan in the other room that blew a lot of warm air around. It was not comfy at night because the AC is loud and the apartment is mostly hot in the other rooms. The toilet was having flushing issues the first day we were there, and I tried to contact the manager and I left a message for help. I heard nothing back, so my son fixed the toilet so we could actually use it. We've stayed in a lot of AiBNBs and this was probably our least favorite.
