About this cabin rental
Welcome to Falling Waters Colo Vale. Colo Vale (colloquially known as the Vale) is situated North of the Historic towns of Berrima, Bowral and Mittagong, 5kms from the Hume Hwy and 125km from Sydney CBD.
The beautiful Southern Highlands is one of the most unique places in NSW. The Highlands are renowned for its history, stunning scenery, wines and pies, beautiful walks and waterfalls.
If you are looking for a romantic weekend, quick getaway, quiet escape in a stunning location, Falling Waters Colo Vale has everything you need. A fully self contained log cabin with open fire, luxury king size bed, kitchen for all your needs. Unfortunately there is no wifi in the cottage.
Richard and Deb are your hosts along with Brent and Mykala and our 2 fur Goldie’s. They are often wandering around the property, extremely friendly and rule the roost, there are 14 chickens 8 sheep, 1 Alpacas, 2 cows and we also have resident Wombats which come out late at night if your lucky you might see them! There is so much abundant bird life we just take a guess on what we can hear and see, Kangaroos also pop up for a visit every now and then.
There are NOT a lot of shops near the property, Hill Top which is 5kms up the road which is closest has a Chinese Restaurant and is open most days, the Bakery which also makes chicken, pies, pastries etc, a Newsagent, Post Office and Bottle shop, there is also a take away shop which has really nice Pizzas, there are brochures for you to browse in the manifest in the kitchen. There are plenty of restaurants and supermarkets in Mittagong and Bowral.
As an added bonus we are located 15 minutes away from the Southern Highlands wineries and all that the Southern Highlands has to offer.
Falling Waters Colo Vale is situated on 35 acres, you are free to walk around the property but we ask that if you have a pet with you please keep your pet on a leash due to the fact that the property has a lot of bush and wildlife.
The luxury log cabin is a home away from home and is positioned for privacy from the main house an offers comfort and parking availability. Unfortunately there is no WIFI in the cottage.

The fireplace and its abundant supply of wood created a cosy fire which kept us nicely warm. The cottage has a sunny back porch which was delightful to sit on looking at the beautiful green grass or to use the BBQ wiich we did. Only thing we would have liked was a good quality light to read by - we often find this is a missing component for keen readers.

Absolutely wonderful stay. So relaxing and quiet, plenty of places to walk. Dogs loved the enclosed yard and made me feel safe for them. Accommodation was perfect and the bathroom definitely next level. Very comfy king bed with great floor to ceiling windows that you could watch the birds in the morning from.

The accommodation is literally right next to the main house, the massive shed and all the stockpiles of dirt less than 50 meters away is a site for sore eyes. Photos are deceiving and it’s definitely not a little romantic stay.
