CHALET SAMOENS GRAND MASSIF HOME ROOM CINEMA AND SAUNA

This place was very comfortable with a few exceptions and the decor was nice. The owner responded promptly and even met us as the GPS didn’t direct us properly. When we were having trouble w/ the washer he came over immediately to help and resolves the issue. BUT be forewarned… no where in the location description did it say that sheets and towels were not supplied. If you wanted them you have to pay a fee which is something we have never encountered in any VRBO over the past 5 years including international travel. Then there was the lack of toilet paper ( the only half rolls were left from a previous guest). The was no hand soap for the bathrooms either!! Plus, we (3 seniors) only stayed 2 nights. we were told that we could clean the place including the floors before we left or pay 95 for a cleaning person. I reluctantly paid the 95 but I was NOT going to wash the floors!! Also there are no screens on the windows which is a thing in Europe but with all the farm animals near the chalet the place was loaded with flies. There are no fans to help circulate the air. That would have been helpful. So… if you’re planning to stay here pack your sheets and bathroom and kitchen towels or pay 12 per person. And we only got for 3 people: one bath towel, 2 hand towels (one with a hole), 2 kitchen towels and sheets for 2 double beds.

This chalet is perfectly located between three loft stations and on a ski bus route that only requires a short walk. Very quiet and peaceful with everything you could need for a comfortable stay. Firstly the communication and directions were excellent with the owner waiting up and greeting us at around 23:30hr due to our flight times, he and his son showed us round and explained everything in great detail, theatre, sauna, heating etc. They have two doubles, two singles and two bunks so ideal for the six adults we had. Two toilets were ample with one bathroom having a bath and the other having a shower. If I was to suggest an improvement it would be to add a stand in shower to the bathroom and a toilet to the shower room. We didn’t run out of anything with plenty of glasses,plates and crockery for us and a dish washer too to help afterwards. Plenty seating with a tv and a bench that comfortably seated us all. If you want somewhere clean and tidy, secluded but handy to services then look no further and for the price this presents excellent value for money. Thanks you so much Thierry we will see you again.

Nous avons passé un très agréable moment dans ce chalet. Il est bien équipé dans un endroit à la fois calme et proche du centre et des pistes. A recommander!
