Very good location in a more quiet neighborhood (for Katmandu). Lots of local shops and restaurants to experience Nepali food and culture. Its also a very short to the Thamel area. The staff was really helpful and easy going. Western toilets!
For the price paid for a shared dorm this was expected. You wouldn't have this problem with a private room. The dorm is a bit small and crowded and there is noise from the restaurant area late at night.

I really enjoyed spending 5 nights at Gurung’s Home between the Chitwan experience and the end of my journey in Nepal ❤️ The location is perfect, calm and local — so nice for resting and enjoying time with other people. The staff is very welcoming and positive, it’s a colourful safe place, creating really good memories!
