Not very relaxing spa break

We arrived early as we had spa bookings for the start of our weekend trip. We were told that due to overbooking, we could not check in at 3pm as scheduled. We had to wait another 2hrs until we were allocated a room, which was the accessible room, so less comfortable than usual. We were also told that we would need to move rooms the next day, we were offered a suite for this. To have to waste so much time on a short break wasn't acceptable to us, it was a real shame. The suite was significantly better than the accessible room, especially having a true double bed and not two singles pushed together. The facilities were good and the spa beautiful, I would be wary of booking at short notice especially if booking a double room (not a suite) and/or at peak season.

See above - we shouldn't have been sold something that wasn't available. Such a long wait and having to move rooms wasn't acceptable for a two night stay. No fridge in room or tea/coffee facilities.

My lousy stay at Aja

The foods was good however at Breakfast on the Grill you had to always ask for someone to man the Grill to make an Omlett as there wasn't anyone there.

Paying 12Euros a day for parking after I paid 1157 Euros for 4 nights is the biggest rip off I've ever seen. I've stayed in alot of nice Hotels in Austria an Germany and the first time I paid for parking. Also there was a road construction project and detour but was not reported in Google Maps and was difficult to find. The room had no wall for the bathroom and a glass door for the Toilett so little to no pemrivacy. Screaming Kids in the Bar which is a place for adults not kids. The Fitness room could of allowed access a little earlier instead of 0730 to allow guests to workout before Breakfast. 42 Euros to rent a Bycycle for the day is also too expensive.

The pool.

1. The toilet in the rooms has no door, one curtain, and one slide door which is common for the shower and WC, only one of the two can be closed. That means no real privacy and the smells and sounds are on your bed. 2. The majority of the personnel speaks only German or very poor English. Nothing in English, you need a translation application.

Pleasant stay for a fair price

The location is fantastic, between the German alps. The breakfast was also very good, with a lot of options and a fantastic hot chocolate. The room was also comfortable and clean, and the spa offered some nice options to relax, we really enjoy the swimming pools, including the kids friendly pool.

The temperature of the swimming pools could be a little bit higher, specially at the time of our visit (beginning of April), can be still a bit cold, and I was expecting more relaxing waters.

I really liked the pools and the kids area there. The restaurant was also quite nice and all foods were delicious. The staff is polite and helpful, specially the cleaning lady from Hungary (thank you, I know you were in a hurry and you still made time to help me) and nice ladies by the pool. I would definitely recommend it.

I didn't like that the glas door on the toilet was loud and that it is not really separated from the sleeping area so that I can shower while my baby sleeps. But it is visible in the pictures, so it's my fault I wasn't paying attention to it previously.

The rooms were clean. Staff were friendly. Location is convenient to town and trails. Pools and spa are amazing. Breakfast buffet was excellent.

Beds were too firm for me, but other than that....nothing was wrong.

Friendly staff and excellent facilities for a staycation

The restaurant was well stocked for breakfast and had a good menu for both lunch and supper. The staff was very helpful and accommodating as we were there because of a car failure nearby. I had to extend the stay for one day three times totaling four nights.

The two rooms for four children and two adults were right next to each other with a door between them. That facilitated our family in a great way. However, the rooms – compared to the price – were too small to accommodate six people including luggage for two weeks of vacation. But that is actually my only claim to the stay.
