Las Palmas 218 - Grits and Grace

Clean, comfortable, great value.

Was unaware the first day that there was a beach access across the street. So we walked about half a mile. Easily fixed by having a guest sheet with helpful hints/ places of interest near by. Also I was nervous about our stay considering I could not find actual pictures anywhere. Luckily it was a pleasant surprise.

Very comfortable and easy to communicate with the property.

Needs a few updates. The shower/bath spout was loose from the wall which made me feel like I was going to pull it off.

Location and cleanliness.

We needed more towels and the toilet paper. The steps were very steep and there was no elevator.

The general location. The mattresses were nice. Hot water was great. View was nice. Pools were well maintained. Size of unit was great.

The extra amenities we paid to have versus a motel did not or hardly worked. The washing machine was subpar, the drier did not work at all. This caused us to have to pay for the public washers and driers which then stained and ruined our clothing with what appeared to be greasy stains and blue inky stains. Also only having two towels and rags per bath, we had to wash them multiple times during our week stay. The smoke detector went off every time you opened anything hot in the kitchen, despite zero smoke. Sometimes even the dishwasher set it off. The thermostat kept resetting on its own. The shower rod and curtain fell on my daughter's head mid shower. We were also very disappointed in the parking situation after booking claimed all fees were included in cost only to have to pay to park at our unit. The beach access is also a pretty far walk if you have children or are bringing anything with you.
