About this house rental
Come relax at our single-family lake house and unwind on the private beach, looking out at the lake and mountains and listening to the loons. This house is located in the Deer Cove section on beautiful Lake Ossipee within the NH Lakes Region. The lake is surrounded by mountains and the views are beautiful. The 70' beach is privately owned, sandy, and clean. Available to guests are a beach fire pit, row boat, canoe and paddle boat. There is also a swim raft to swim out to with a ladder. The house is a cute and well kept 3 BR gambrel with all bedrooms and large bath upstairs. 1st floor is large eat-in kitchen open to large family room with sliders to screened in porch. There is also an open deck on the 2nd floor. This is a very family friendly neighborhood comprised of owner occupied homes and rental properties. There is a private road that runs along the water which is perfect for walks along the lake, bike rides, or pushing a stroller.

We really enjoyed the sandy beach, clear lake, swim raft and paddle boat. The fire pit was nice too and they even had s'mores sticks and wood at the ready. The host was great with communicating, overall a great stay.

Our overall experience at this house was pretty good! It wasn’t a perfect fit for our family because of the cons listed below, which is why I gave it 4 stars. I’ll go over the pros and cons below:
PROS
-Great location! Steps away from the lake.
-Super friendly and attentive hosts.
-Boats and life vests available for use.
-Private section of sandy beach only used by us.
-Fires allowed at the beach.
-Day trips to North Conway/Mount Washington/Saco River are totally doable.
CONS
-Queen bed was very uncomfortable to us (host did say they were planning on replacing it soon)
-No washer/dryer (there is a laundromat about 5 minutes away)
-No dishwasher
Even though there isn’t any air conditioning, it got pretty cool at night, which keeps the house pretty cool during the day. There were a couple nights it was pretty warm, but the fans provided made it tolerable.
I would recommend staying here, as long as the queen bed gets replaced.

We loved our stay very much in this cottage. Plenty of Room for the family, nice outdoor space to enjoy and great location. Can't wait to hook again!
