Villa Hugo de 1876 Large character house in the Lot - Dordogne Valley

A lovely area to visit, we packed in a lot for the week stay that we had. The house is lovely and was great for 3 generations (17year olds to 77 year old) of family to gather together. Christel is easy to get hold of. The pool was a welcome addition for the hot week of weather we had. The rooms are quite hot even with the shutters across, if it’s going to be hot take a fan. Also the mosquitoes are very active particularly in the middle floor rooms at night, mosquito nets at the window would have helped.

Christel was great and was very responsive to any queries we had, made contact prior to us arriving. We had a lovely time and property is in a great location for lots of things to do and visit. Some observations whilst we were there:As it was hot it would have been useful to have had fans in the rooms at night time.There were plenty of large cookware, but limited number of smaller options so we found ourselves using very large sized saucepans etc when much smaller ones would have been great also.We did get bitten a lot at night, some fly screens on the middle floor windows would have been useful too.There were also a couple of broken loungers when we arrived which were highlighted to us by Christel which limited the amount of chairs available for the group to use.On the whole though we had a lovely relaxing holiday and Christel was very friendly, responsive and always checked if she could come round to clean or top up the pool. Overall a very good property in a superb location.

This property is amazing! We were greeted by Kristel who is a lovely, kind person and very helpful. All the rooms are beautiful and well equipped. The swimming pool is very clean and there are lots of loungers to relax around the pool. Next to that is a games room which is nice and cool in the hot weather. The terrace with a large table is great place to eat with beautiful views. We were a family of thirteen people, ten adults and three children that stayed there for two fantastic weeks. We would definitely recommend staying there and there are some lovely places to visit nearby. Thank you Kristel for helping to make our holiday the best ever! Cette propriété est incroyable! Nous avons été accueillis par Kristel qui est une personne adorable, gentille et très serviable. Toutes les chambres sont belles et bien équipées. La piscine est très propre et il y a plein de transats pour se détendre autour de la piscine. A côté se trouve une salle de jeux qui est agréable et fraîche les jours de chaleur. La terrasse avec une grande table est un endroit idéal pour manger avec de belles vues. Nous étions une famille de treize personnes, dix adultes et trois enfants qui y ont passé deux semaines fantastiques. Nous vous recommandons vivement d'y séjourner et il y a de beaux endroits à visiter à proximité. Merci Kristel d'avoir contribué à faire de nos vacances les meilleures de tous les temps!
