Your Gîte Dame Jouanne is located inside the enclosure of Larchant village of character, near the door of Chouard, in an authentic restored farmhouse, dating from before the revolution. It is accessible through an entrance under covered porch.

From your Gîte Dame Jouanne, you will be able to appreciate the calm of the places and to see the massif of the Dame Jouanne.

Your Gîte Dame Jouanne is adjoining the house of your guests, with a common flower courtyard, private terrace, garden furniture and barbecue.

Gîte Dame Jouanne includes:
A fully equipped kitchen: built-in oven, hob, microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher, hood, coffee maker, pressure cooker
a living room and a living room with sofa and television.

We found a beautifull cottage after a long travel and were warmly welcomed buy the landlord. Everything needed could be found at the cottage. The rooms were nice and enough for our family of three - there were beds for 5 ;-) The location is perfect for travel around, hiking and especially bouldering - l'éléphant is about 1000 meter away.

Really lovey stay in the sleepy town of Larchant. We booked just 2 days before our trip and communications were super. It is a big property for 3, but we appreciated the space. Within walking distance of Elefant. Alain was super friendly and helped with all our questions. Would recommend.

Great location, the climbing sites are walking distance and there is a small organic shop/bar in the village so no need to take the car :) Fontainebleau is 15 min drive away for visits etc.

Back again!

Another great stay at this gite. More than happy to return and be welcomed again. Our two year old daughter once again settled in well and we were able to go about spending our time climbing locally and relaxing in the evenings. Hopefully, we will return in the coming years.

This would have been a five star rating but for a couple of points. Unfortunately, when we arrived, neither the hot water or the heating were immediately available. The description is slightly ambiguous. The parking is not actually on-site, but either outside or on a carpark at the end of the street. Also the bathroom is on the ground floor, off the kitchen, with steep stairs between it and the bedrooms. Otherwise, very spacious in all departments.

We're just home after an excellent stay at Gite Dame Jouanne. Welcoming hosts, a perfect venue to base ourselves for climbing and cycling in the forest. We'd happily stay again and are already considering returning next year with friends in tow!

Lovely folk. Alain and his wife were lovely and were so helpful. The gite was perfect for a family of four. The village was so interesting and the surrounding countryside. One day we would love to return!

Wir, eine Familie und Freunde waren in der Wohnung einfach nur glücklich! Die Wohnung war fantastisch eingerichtet, alles da, was man für einen entspannten Aufenthalt braucht (sogar Waschmaschine, Spülmaschine, Fön ....). Da der Vermieter gegenüber wohnt und auch einmal täglich vorbeikommt, ist es kein Problem, ihn zu erreichen, falls man ihn braucht. Die Lage ist fantastisch! Bäcker, Bioladen und Cafe sind nur einen Katzensprung entfernt, zu den Bouldergebieten sind wir mit dem Fahrrad gefahren, auch unseren Einkauf in Nemour haben wir mit dem Fahrrad gemacht (7 km). So konnten wir ganz auf das Auto verzichten. Wir kommen gern wieder!

Wir waren zu dritt zum Bouldern in Larchant. Die Unterkunft wurde inzwischen mit einer neuen Küche und Badewanne ausgestattet. Wie beim vorherigen Aufenthalt war alles super und die Kommunikation mit Alain war sehr gut. Wir empfehlen (wie bei fast jeder Unterkunft) ein gutes Küchenmesser und Brett mitzubringen wenn man häufiger kochen möchte :) Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt in Larchant. Die Wohnung ist mit allem ausgestattet was man benötigt. Die Kommunikation mit Alain lief (bis auf ein kleines Missverständnis beim Checkin) problemlos. Der Boulder-Spot “l’elephant“ ist ohne Probleme zu Fuß zu erreichen. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Grâce à la gentillesse de nos hôtes qui ont mis à notre disposition un mobilier de jardin pour profiter de l'extérieur et déplié le canapé lit du salon permettant à mon mari très fatigué et malade de dormir en bas notre séjour s’est bien déroulé !

Un petit mot sur notre séjour à Larchant. Il nous plaisait beaucoup parce que nous avons éprouvé une sensation de bien-etre chez les Dury - une famille chaleureuse, ouverte et avec une oreille attentive à tout. Ce gite nous pouvons recommander tout particulièrement.
