About this apartment rental

New apartment placed in service in August 2015, with an area of 140m2, at 300 metres from the beach, 100 metres from the daily market and small shops, and 300 metres from the supermarket. The apartment is fully equipped for 6/8 persons, air conditioning, 1 parental suite, 1 bedroom with double bed (king size beds) and a bedroom with two single beds, 2 bathrooms, 2 large balconies, fully equipped kitchen, parking in a private garage. We also have all the necessary equipment to receive a baby. We can add two extra beds. The residence has 2 swimming pools, a children's park and a gymnasium, all quiet. The apartment is located less than an hour from Lisbon, 15 kilometres from Nazare, 30 kilometres from Peniche and 200 kilometres from Porto. For more information, please contact us.

This was a get-together trip with my 3 sons: 16, 19, and 23. We spent all of our 8 nights in Portugal at Raoul's VRBO, a new-looking, roomy, and clean apartment! With 3 bedrooms and a big couch in the closed living room, we each had our own space. The kitchen was easy to cook and eat in. It was our 1st time in Portugal, so I can't say how it compares to other accommodations. The location was good for us. The local beach is within easy walking distance, and there's even a small, less populated beach about a 20-minute walk away. It's conveniently close to a supermarket. The street has a fair amount of traffic, but the apartment has good sound insulation when doors and windows are shut. The underground parking was a real plus, and it was easy to make day trips to Obidos and Tomar. The beach at Nazare, with good waves and surfers, was a 20-minute drive away. It would have been good for me to know upfront about the several additional fees (cleaning, linens, management) and the fact that Raoul manages the place from afar. I communicated our late Saturday night arrival at a week's notice and got surprised with an 80 penalty.Otherwise, it turned out to be a good place for me and my sons to vacation.

The apartment is large and clean, it can easily accommodate six guests. The parking garage of the building is very convenient and secure. The location of the apartment makes it a good home base if you want to spend time in the Obedos and Nazaré region. The apartment is within walking distance to the beach and super market. It would be better if the cleaning fees would be clearly indicated with the other fees such as pet fees and additional guest fees. I had a surprise when I inquired about the cleaning fees, the total jumped by 150 Euros. While the new amount might be warranted, it would be better to show the amount up front. Also, there was no Wi-Fi available at all. I had read some older reviews about the Wi-Fi being unreliable but I took for granted (my bad!) that the issue had been solved. If you don’t need Wi-Fi, you will not be disappointed with this apartment.

The appartment provides you with everything you need to have a comfortable and easy holiday. It's clean, big and airy, kitchen is well equiped, beds are comfortable. We found the underground parking a great plus as parking can be difficult in Sao Martinho do Porto. An elevator leads from underground parking to your door. Balcony is bigger than it looks on the photos, you can easily dry laundry and beach stuff. The area is quiet and you walk under ten minutes to the beach. Check in could have been a bit easier and more transparent (to have knowledge of portuguese language helps), check out was very uncomplicated. A clear recommendation with a good value.
