About this cottage rental

Description: We are in Rochefort du Gard, (5 min. From Avignon, by bus 15 min.) Very well located for the Avignon Festival and for visiting all of Provence. Le Pont du Gard, Orange, Nîmes, the Beaux de Provence, St. Rémy en Provence, Ile sur Sorgues, Camargue, les Plages, Pretty house of 48 m², renovated in 2019, adjoining the main building, with a large secure swimming pool (9. 20 m by 4. 00 m), closed at night, to share only with the owners.
The house is air conditioned, it consists
a bedroom with a 160x200 double bed, a living room with a convertible sofa bed for 2, baby bed on request, TV (TNT), flat screen, fully equipped kitchen, except dishwasher.
Laundry room, private terrace, plancha,
large table, deckchairs, pergola. On a plot of 2100 m²,
Electric gate. Children's chair, bikes, games on site.
Bus station for Avignon 1 min. Linens, pool towels SUPPLIED! Cleaning fee 40 €. We speak GERMAN, ENGLISH and ITALIAN.
We have a dog (German Shepherd), he is very nice and two cats (outside).

Upon arrival, we were made to feel very welcome by our hosts, Fabrice & Alexandra, who gave us time to unpack & then invited us to join them for a drink on the terrace. The accommodation is superb. Comfortable, clean and well equipped, plus ideally located for visting the surrounding areas due to excellent road links. The garden around the property is just incredible ... you have your own outside space but there are also lots of break out areas, which allow privacy, but also communal areas where you can socialise with the family if you wish. The pool is outstanding and was very much appreciated during the heat of the day. Fabrice & Alexandra are excellent hosts, not just by giving us great tourist advice, but by being such genuinely lovely people. We did not just have a holiday here, we were made to feel so comfortable and have made some new friends who we will be visiting again in the future.

We greatly enjoyed our stay in this attractive and well-equipped gite. There is comfortable outdoor seating and the swimming pool was lovely. Fabrice and Alexandra were delightful, welcoming us warmly and always helpful. They kindly provide much needed support when we had a major problem with our hire car. There is lots to do in the area, with Avignon, Arles and other historical cities within easy reach. We are interested in birds and enjoyed visiting the Carmague, in particular seeing lots of flamingos in the parc ornithogique at Pont de Gau and we went on an excellent boat trip from Saintes Maries de la Mer. Another favourite was the astonishing cave paintings in the Grotte Cosquer at Marseille. We had a wonderful holiday. Thank you so much, Fabrice and Alexandra.

Perfect location, gîte and hosts!

Perfect location, gîte and hosts!

There's nothing to say other than that this is the best place we've ever stayed and we wish we'd had three weeks instead of two. The photos don't do it justice, especially as there is now a totally retractable pool cover and the garden is lovely. Total privacy together with many options for relaxing, including a table under the shade, sunlounges and sunbeds. The pool, which is kept at a very comfortable 30 degrees, is in front of the owners' house, but this isn't inhibiting at all. We spent several days lying around the pool. Our hosts couldn't have been more friendly and we had many opportunities to chat and share a drink. We thought Junior (a German Shepherd) and the cats were lovely. Very well equipped and decorated. Everything worked well. Easy parking inside. Very good location for exploring from the Camargue to the fishing villages east of Marseille and up into the pretty villages of Provence. We can't recommend all this enough!

A fabulous place to stay with the added bonus of lovely owners

From the moment we arrived we knew that this was going to be the ideal place for our ten day visit. Once we had freshened up we joined Fabrice and Alexandra who had invited us for a glass of wine and a beer. They made us feel very welcome from the first moment we met. They also provided us with all the local knowledge we needed to enjoy our stay. The property was clean, well equipped, cared for and gave us everything we needed. We were able to cook and eat outside as the weather during our stay was perfect. The pool was covered at night which means even if the temperature outside drops it is possible to swim late into the evening. And as soon as the cover is pulled back in the morning the pool temperature is perfect for an early morning dip. There was more than ample seating both in the sun or shade by our Gite, in the garden and by the pool, as well as plenty of loungers. Ideal for those relaxing days. The location, too, was perfect for exploring the region. There are so many things to do in this part of France we are sure that we will return to this area one day, and indeed this property providing it is available. I look forward to being able visiting again in either the spring or summer months as I am sure that we would see some fabulous colours. The family have a lovely dog called Junior who looked as sad as I felt when we had to say goodbye. We would like to take this opportunity thank Fabrice, Alexandra, Floren and Junior for a great holiday.

Gite très sympathique et fonctionnel dans un univers de verdure, espace vegetalise appréciable, au calme d'où se dégage la sérénité qui permet de se ressourcer. La piscine pourvue d'éléments pour la détente au soleil ou à l'ombre, permet de goûter la fraîcheur et faire quelques brasses. Je saluerai particulièrement la gentillesse et la disponibilité des propriétaires qui sans nous importuner savaient au bon moment trouver les mots justes. Leurs trois chiens sont adorables.. Si vous n'aimez pas la gente canine il est peu probable que l'endroit soit idéal. Avons donc passé trois belles semaines et un renouvellement de l'expérience serait plutôt à envisager.

Un séjour inoubliable, dans une région splendide riche de découvertes. Les conseils avisés de Fabrice nous ont permis de profiter des meilleures caves aux alentours et des meilleures adresses de restaurants toutes gammes. Nous avons rencontré un couple très sympathique, plein de gentillesse et d attention pour rendre notre séjour des plus agréable. Le gîte est restauré avec beaucoup de goûts avec une piscine et tous les équipements pour la détente, encore plus beau que sur les photos. Tous ces points positifs nous ont permis de faire la promotion de cette adresse à nos proches ,

Das Ferienhaus und der dazugehörige Garten und Pool sind einfach nur ein Traum! Alles ist sehr liebevoll eingerichtet worden, sauber und so schön, dass man auch mehrere Tage einfach nur im Ferienhaus und im Garten verbringen kann. Wenn man dennoch Lust auf Ausflüge hat, bietet die Lage von Rochefort-du-Gard viele Möglichkeiten. Wir waren in Arles, Avignon, am Pont du Gard, les Baux-de-Provence usw., alle Ziele sind sehr gut erreichbar. Fabrice und Alexandra sind als Gastgeber außergewöhnlich gastfreundlich. Mein Sohn und ich fühlten uns sehr willkommen und hatten eine unvergessliche Zeit. Wenn wir wieder einmal in der Provence sein sollten, würden wir immer wieder diese Unterkunft buchen.

Die Unterkunft war sehr gut ausgestattet, es hat an nichts gefehlt. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten aller Art sind in direkter Umgebung (keine 5 Autominuten) vorhanden. Der Pool und vor allem der Garten sind sehr gepflegt und traumhaft angelegt. Die Gastgeber sind sehr zuvorkommend und jederzeit hilfsbereit. Gute Ausgangslage für Ausflüge. Absolut zu empfehlen!

Nous avons passé une excellente semaine à Rochefort du Gard. L'emplacement de la maison est idéal pour visiter les environs (Gard, Camargue, Lubéron...) Les propriétaires sont très accueillants et sympathiques. La maison avec sa belle terrasse, son magnifique jardin et sa piscine chauffée offre toutes les prestations nécessaires pour une semaine de vacances réussie !

Wir haben uns sehr wohl und jederzeit willkommen gefühlt - besonders hervorzuheben ist die Gastfreundschaft von Alexandra und Fabrice. Das Haus ist gut ausgestattet und es fehlt an nichts. Besonders Terrasse und Pool haben uns sehr gefallen. Der Ort ist ein guter Ausgangspunkt, um die Provence zu erkunden.

Fabrice et Alexandra ont tout mis tout en œuvre pour que notre séjour soit parfait. Accueillis chaleureusement, chaque petit détail est pensé pour nous être agréable dès notre arrivée. Le sourire, la gentillesse, la convivialité, les petites attentions s'ajoutent au cadre magnifique, aux 31° de la piscine et au chant des cigales. La maison est très confortable, très propre, joliment décorée, parfaitement équipée, et le jardin est carrément paradisiaque!! Que de jolis souvenirs pour nos loulous qui ont encore des petites étoiles dans les yeux rien qu'en évoquant cette semaine à Rochefort-du-Gard, et pour nous également, bien sûr. ^^ Le seul bémol est que la semaine file à toute allure et qu'il faut à un moment rentrer chez soi un peu à contre-coeur!! Si vous voulez passer un séjour merveilleux dans la bonne humeur et le partage, n'hésitez plus, vous êtes au bon endroit. ;) Merci encore à Fabrice, Alexandra, Florent et Junior.

Vielen Dank an die aufmerksamen Gastgeber, die nicht nur ein traumhaften Anwesen mit gärtnerischen Gestaltung, ein geschmack- und liebevoll eingerichtetes Gästehaus, ein blitzsauberes Ambiente, sondern auch eine herzliche Atmosphäre für uns geboten haben. Die Gegend bietet viele Möglichkeiten zum Sightseeing und für kulterelles Interesse. Auch das Meer ist nur eine knappe Autostunde entfernt. Alexandra hat immer einen guten Rat bereit. Nochmal DANKE

5 Nächte verbracht. Alles sehr sauber,alle Geräte waren vorhanden, zum Glück auch eine Klimaanlage. Empfang mit Getränken, Pool sehr schön und abends im Schatten. Hatten über 40 Grad, daher war dies wichtig. Lage ist hervorragend, nur 10 Minuten bis zum Park & Ride Parkplatz von Avignon.

Un très bon accueil, la maison est belle et bien entretenue, le jardin est magnifique. Tout l’équipement nécessaire pour passé un bon séjour est disponible, il ne manque rien(à part un verre qui n’a pas survécu au passage de nos enfants, désolé ☹) Nos filles se sont éclatées dans la piscine et on bien embêté Junior pendant que nous buvions l’apéro. Merci à Fabrice et Alexandra pour leur accueil chaleureux, on s'est cru à la maison ou chez des amis, je recommande à tous ceux qui veulent passer des vacances tranquilles et sans prise de tête. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour de notre arrivée jusqu'au départ, on regrette juste de ne pas y avoir passé plus de temps. @Fabrice : merci pour les larmes de Mirabelle. Ein Urlaub wie bei Freunden

Wir haben uns bei Alexa, Fabrice und Florent vom ersten Moment an wie bei Freunden gefühlt. Sie haben uns in ihrem liebevoll gestalteten "Clos" willkommen geheißen und nicht nur die Tür zu unserem Feriendomizil geöffnet, sondern auch zu ihrem eigenen Heim. Dazu gehörten auch gemeinsame Aperos und Abendessen mit den dreien und ihren Freunden. Das Ferienhäuschen ist sehr gut ausgestattet und ließ nichts vermissen. Und falls doch etwas fehlt, reicht eine Bitte und schon ist es verfügbar. Die Lage des "Clos des Jardins" ist sehr gut, um Avignon und die Region drumherum zu besuchen. Nach Avignon fährt ein öffentlicher Bus und die Haltestelle liegt nur wenige Minuten entfernt. Oder man nimmt den eigenen Wagen und fährt zum riesigen Gratisparkplatz auf der Rhoneinsel, von wo man zu Fuß gehen kann oder den Gratis-Shuttle zum Porte de L'Oulle nehmen kann. In Avignon selbst empfehlen wir zum Einstieg eine Tour mit Avignon Gourmet Tours. Wenn wir zukünftig Rosé oder Pastis daheim trinken, werden wir sicherlich an die schöne Zeit bei Alexa, Fabrice und Florent zurückdenken. Merci bien - many thanks - herzliches Dankeschön!
