About this house rental

This "Premier Hosted" cottage is the perfect VRBO location to allow you to feel like you are away from it all. We have recently added a king size bed on the first floor. You can swim, fish, kayak and enjoy the beautiful views on Clear Lake and Squaw Lake year round. If you want to relax, rest and enjoy your family and friends, this is the lake and vacation spot for you. This is not a party location. We are tucked into a quiet neighborhood with wonderful neighbors.

Clear Lake is connected to the "Chain of Lakes" to maximize your water experience. If you choose to venture into town, you are five minutes from downtown Oxford and also close to Lake Orion with many different types of restaurants. The new Legacy 925 sports center is only 11 minutes away. The Polly Anne Trail is close by with walking and biking trails. This home is 17 minutes from Pine Knob Ski Resort and DTE Energy Music Theater.
The peaceful surroundings are visited by numerous birds, swans and surprising hot air balloons in the summer months. Guests will have access to a full kitchen, use of washer and dryer, grill, fire pit, 6 kayaks, and life jackets. All bedding, towels and beach towels are provided. Guests describe the home saying that it is “cozy”, “quaint” and a “lovely place to relax.”
Please note that this cottage has well water. The water is completely safe and we have many filtration systems and softeners, but it does have a slight smell.

Twin Bed was a fold up pad on the floor. This was not okay. Be sure to buy water...it really does have a strong odor and filter pitcher they provide needs to have a new filter...water draining through at a very slow pace. Bathroom smelled nasty and controls in downstairs shower were falling off the wall. None of our 6 guests found the mattresses comfortable. ALl very soft...falling in the "hole" on the Queen. Oven door handle falling off. House was a great dumping ground for all cast off dishes, towels, bedding, hangers, etc. Location was nice as was the view. Next time we will choose another home with better upkeep. We were extremely disappointed considering all the great reviews.

This is the cutest place ever on thr lake and feels just like home. Colleen was beyond accomodating and was so so pleasant to work with. Colleen was a great host. The cottage was super comfortable and relaxing. Beautiful location and neighborhood surrounded by lakes. Neighbors were very friendly and helpful. My 4 year old loved fishing off the dock and playing with the games. I really appreciated all the thoughtful touches from bath supplies to snacks and coffee. Kitchen was fully stocked. Highly recommend and would love to return.

We come every year to Oxford to visit with friends and family for a Thanksgiving and Christmas celebration. Colleen was amazing and the accommodations were perfect. Clean, all the appliances you need, and all functioning as advertised. We had a great stay in this home. It was very comfortable and well equipped. The lake is beautiful and clear. The neighborhood is really nice and people are friendly. Colleen was super responsive and a pleasure to interact with. I loved that the home was stocked with things you typically use. We had beach towels, camp chairs, cooking supplies, etc. I’ve stayed in VRBO’s that didn’t have salt and pepper or dish soap or trash bags, etc. so it was really nice to be in a home that truly feels like a home.

This is a well kept cabin, right on the lake, with a great view. It was too cold for any outdoor activities, but the owners have supplied many indoor games, a large cable TV with a wide variety of channels. Comfortable furniture and beds. The cabin is located on a dead end street, resulting in minimal traffic, with really nice neighbors. It's a nice quiet neighborhood. There are several nice restaurants nearby, and a FANTASTIC donut shop within 2 miles. The owner immediately responds to any inquiries. We enjoyed our stay.

My girlfriend and I visited this location as our first vacation together and the location was perfect for us. The house was clean and very stress-free to check into. We also enjoyed using the paddleboat to head out on the lake.
