About this house rental

This custom, mountain-view home is our pride and joy! Our mountain retreat offers three levels plus a loft with soaring vaulted ceilings, natural woodwork and lodge-inspired decor throughout. The location of our house is ideal. Nestled on a dead-end street and conveniently located across the street from endless hiking and cross-country trails. You can't get any closer to Mt. Hood! Grab your skis and walk 50 feet to the Summit ski run or walk to town for shopping. With 3 master suites, it is perfect for friends and family. Master #1 has a king bed, stone fireplace, flat-screen TV with a full bath and jetted tub. Master #2 has a king bed, a twin bunk, stone fireplace, flat-screen TV, granite vanity and sink in addition to a full bath. Master #3 has a queen bed, twin bunk and full bath. All rooms have luxurious linens and towels.
An open kitchen with granite counter tops, two dishwashers, trash compactor, beverage cooler and a professional range with two ovens. It is well stocked with superior cookware and dishes that will inspire any chef. A large family dinner is no problem with the dining room table seating up to 16.
The game room is a perfect place for relaxing. There is a pool table, TV with DVD player and a mini-kitchen with microwave, sink and mini-refrigerator.

We had the perfect weekend getaway at this beautiful home. Right next to the ski slopes. You can enjoy the view of people skiing from the living room window with a beautiful view of the summit. It is so beautiful. This house is very clean and spacious.

We arrived and the property is Beautiful especially with all the new snow. the home is as showed even better. We had six family adults and our 21-month-old grandson. We all loved staying there. The bedrooms all have their own private bathrooms which made it so comfortable. The floodlights outside the home are gorgeous showing the snow all weekend. The view from all windows is amazing. We would love to stay there again for sure.

This cabin was beyond beautiful so well equipped -they thought of every comfort for their guests!You couldn’t ask for a better location a short walk to the ski run to catch the summit lift a beautiful view of Mt Hood from the living room window a minute from the restaurants and shops at government camp our whole family enjoyed themselves 6 adults 6 grandkids we all decided we would love to come back it was a 10!!!!

We loved staying here with our friends & kids. The rooms were very spacious, the layout was great, and every detail had been thoughtfully done. The views of Mt. Hood were stunning from the living room & main bedrooms, plus we loved the quiet & beautiful woods all around the property. The kids loved the loft & playing with the pool table, while the adults enjoyed having an enormous kitchen for us all to gather. The 3 fireplaces were my favorite amenity & we were thoroughly impressed with how clean and functional the property was. Thanks

The home was comfortable, had a excellent kitchen and cozy family room. We are already looking at our calendar for a trip back.

My grandson's had another great ski trip. The house is much fun, this year after skiing all day we had a pool tournament. The kid's have so much fun playing in the backyard making sniwmen, building snow forts, and having snowball fights. I hope to be able to rent it again next year.

My husband and I take our entire family (our children, their spouses and our five grandchildren) to Government Camp for an annual cross country ski trip. We went over MLK weekend this year and encountered some challenging weather conditions that led to a short term loss of power. Our hosts were in constant contact and very supportive. It actually turned into a fun adventure because of their support. The house has a stunning view of Mt. Hood. We snowshoed and cross country skied right from the house. The house itself is very comfortable and welcoming. As a chef, I really appreciated the large and well supplied kitchen. The dining table was big enough for us all to enjoy our meals together. Everyone in our group felt it was one of the more beautiful houses that we've stayed in. We were stunned watching the sunset on Mt. Hood. We will definitely rent this house again and took away some fond memories of our time there.

My family had a wonderful stay! Gorgeous views out the front of Mount Hood, as well as the back. We did not have an issue with the 3-4 flights of stairs. One of the only Gov Camp houses with an actual view of Mt Hood. Wonderful house with great location next to the trails. Steep walk up from center of Gov Camp but well worth it. Very nicely decorated with amazing beds. It was a bit unusual though that there was no pantry space for food items for such a large kitchen, but plenty of counter space so we just used that instead. And a hot tub available for guests would have been the icing on the cake. But these were minor items. Loved the house and will definitely stay here again!

The Thompson Cabin is very unique with both large bedrooms having a fireplace that was really cozy. Another highlight was the pool table and watching the Grandkids learning to play pool. We are skiiers and you ski in/ ski out to the lifts or shuttle to Timberline. The cabin was very clean and well stocked. The best we have rented. Thank you Terryray and Wendy for hosting.

We had a wonderful time in this lovely home with grandpa, grandma, kids and grandkids! Perfect setup for multi family’s to have their own space with lots of gathering together space! Pool table and BBQ! Huge kitchen and comfortable cozy living room with a beautiful view of Mt Hood💕 we can watch the skiers coming down the hill from the kitchen window! Overall, we loved the house, the location and how well equipped it was. The large bedrooms and bath were a real plus. The issues we had were checkin (no code until we called after arrival at the house), no operating manual for a complicated house with lots of electronics and appliances, no closet for guests in one master BR (it was full and locked for owners' use only). Fortunately, the owner was available by phone to answer questions that should have been covered with operating instructions. The lack of a closet, however, was a real inconvenience. Otherwise, it was a great house.

We are a group of five quilter friends who retreat annually. This house is the best we have rented! We had tons of space to set up our work stations, the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to prepare great meals and the location at the base of Mt. Hood could not be beat. Only a couple things of note: The home is on five levels so it is not accessible for anyone with physical difficulty and there is no deck but chairs were available on the ground level. Neither of these were issues for our group. Thank you again for a great stay! We would very much like to return!

We came here to have a low key bachelorette weekend for my daughter. The house is amazing and as she said "Perfect". The view of Mt. Hood was spectacular. The finishing touches to the home are perfect and matched the photos online. The beds were very comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked and organized. We could not figure out the wifi password or to get the heat on, even though it was late, we received a prompt response. The location is amazing as we were hiking and kayaking for the weekend (so close to Trillium lake, Timothy Lake and Frog Lake). Loved staying here and are even thinking of coming back for our annual woman's weekend. I can't say enough about how much we loved the home.
