At the top of a small hill that keeps the traces of the first human times. You are at Ferrassie, mythical place of the country of Cro-Magnon and one of the most secret of the deep Périgord.
In the center of the magical territory circumscribed by the Eyzies, the valley of the Vézère and Sarlat, between truffle farms of Ste Alvère and vineyard of Bergerac, the hamlet of Ferrassie, is a conservatory or survives this art of living which makes the celebrity of Périgord.

My family and I spent 10 wonderful days at this house and it is a vacation we will not forgot. The hosts were warm, friendly and went above and beyond in making us feel welcome. Highly recommend!

A week with our adult children and their partners and an 18-month old baby was made magical by this exceptional property. The cottage has original stone walls with a modernized kitchen and infrastructure. The swimming pool has sweeping views of the countryside and of beautiful French cows. Hosts, Nicole and Patrick couldn't have been more helpful and charming. The location is beautiful though somewhat remote, making a car necessary. We would love to return someday!

Just a glorious setting! Lovely gite with everything you need for a family holiday. Gracious and discrete host. Easy access to entire Périgord Noir. 45 mins to Bergerac, Montignac (for Lascaux), Sarlat, Périgueux. 10 mins to canoeing on Vezere or Dordogne. Chateaux everywhere. We will definitely come back.

A fabulous house in a lovely part of France. We have had a great week from the moment we arrived and received the owners' warm welcome to our last day. Thanks to Nicole and Patrick for their kindness. Although the weather has not been very good, we have had a wonderful week visiting the neighbouring villages and the markets, castles, gardens,...But, of course, we have enjoyed too the beautiful heated pool and gardens with Diana (a lovely cat), Choupette (a nice donkey) and Ariane (an elegant horse).
The house is superb everything one could wish for: inside is beautiful, filled with little thoughtful touches to make us feel at home; outside the views are breathtaking.
A fantastic place and a great tranquil retreat from everyday stresses; lovely house and stunning surroundings. Perfect.
