TOWNHOUSE WITH SWIMMINGPOOL - Country living in the city

Sophie’s property is fantastic, we loved every second of our stay! The outside area especially made it so wonderful for us - very private, and very beautiful! The pool was perfect - cold enough to cool you down, but warm enough to not be left chilly.. I had been a little worried the pool could small, but it wasn’t at all - my two teens and I spent many hours in there each day - it was wonderful!The house is in an amazing location - easy to walk to loads of shops / restaurants - no car needed at all. It is also very secure and feels very safe. One thing I hadn’t realised from the description was that the “main/master” suite is slightly separate from the main house. Still completely safe feeling because you enter the property through a very secure door from the street before you get to the annex and main house - which are literally a couple of steps from each other and also secure and lockable. It actually worked really well for us..The house itself is beautiful and interesting. It is very old and has so much character, whilst having all the amenities you could possibly want - it was very, very hot while we were there and the air con worked brilliantly!Hannah who was our contact was kind and helpful, and it was great to know we could ask for her help if needed.In short, having stayed in loads of holiday rentals over the years, this is one of our absolute favourites and has made Nimes one of our favourite places in France!

This home was by far the most well equipped that we have ever stayed in. The space is large with plenty of beds and baths for visiting friends and incredibly convenient to the old town parts of Nimes - only a 6 minute walk to the central Maison Carre Square. Our hosts were fabulous and quite efficient and helpful. In short, we loved it.

We stayed in Nimes for a week at Sophie's place with our sons, ages 10 and 12. It was a hot week in Nimes, and we so appreciated the pool! We also appreciated having air conditioning in the bedrooms for sleeping. The location is fantastic, and we could easily walk to the historic center of town, as well as to restaurants and shops. We also appreciated the access to the garage for parking our rental car. Nimes is a wonderful town, and it's centrally located for venturing out to other towns for day trips (Avignon, Marseilles, etc.). We were a bit put off by the extensive paperwork that we had to fill out upon arrival. We were asked to go through every room in the house and mark any areas of damage and the condition of the facilities. The paperwork was mostly in French with some key sentences in English. Before we could depart, Sophie's daughter, Lucie, did an inventory of the house. We've stayed in many vacation rentals over the years, and this was the first time we had to do this. Sophie's daughter Lucie lives on site with her family, and she is a great host. She provided us with grocery store recommendations when asked. While Lucie doesn't speak English, and my French is limited, we managed to communicate just fine. Thank you for everything!

The property is excellant and exactly as described. Location wise it is perfect, with just a short walk you are at the centre of Nimes. As a base for the region you are a short drive from Arles, Pont du Gard and Avignon. Contact with the host was great and we'd definitely recommend a stay.
