About this villa rental
Villa Marina Grande is a splendid Mediterranean-style villa, perfectly situated in front of the wide beach of San Sostene, known for its crystal clear sea and sugar white sand where sea turtles nest.
It is surrounded by a magnificent 2.5 hectars private garden, rich in very high maritime pines, eucalyptus, citrus and olive trees, as well as a wide variety of other plants and flowers.
The unit we rent is situated on the top floor and has an independent entrance through an external staircase. It has 3 bedrooms, a living-room with a comfortable fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, 2 bathrooms, washing machine, and a very spacious terrace with a shaded veranda overlooking the sea and the garden, ideal for eating "al fresco". The ground floor is not to be rented.
From the terrace there is a spectacular view of the whole Gulf of Squillace and the magnificent garden. You can enjoy the picturesque sunrise over the sea or the romantic sunset behind the hills, and relax in total tranquility and privacy surrounded by nature, admiring a vast variety of local birds, and listening to the sound of the sea.
The beach in front of the house offers the opportunity to go to the beach and return home with ease, making it an ideal place for families with children.

The location is perfect for a relaxing each break and Calabria is stunning. The property is above the owners home in beautiful and extensive grounds with views of the beach beyond. There is a lovely terrace area where you can lounge or eat. The beach is literally at the bottom of the garden across the road and is massive, with very few people on it. There are a few lidos dotted along the beach for refreshments.
San Sostene itself is quiet with few facilities so a CRA is essential, but nearby Sovrato has more facilities if required.
The owners and the housekeeper speak excellent English and couldn’t have been more welcoming.
