About this house rental
This cottage is a cottage near the forest and close to all amenities. You enjoy the view and a fabulous atmosphere, birds singing and the sound of water from the waterfall below the flower garden ... make it an ideal place for rest and relaxation. This stone cottage, has 2 bedrooms, a nice bathroom with a large walk-in shower, a living room with a comfortable sofa and TV (French channels) and wifi, a kitchen with a large bay window opening a large terrace with a beautiful view which is the great strength of this house. Romantic, decor is studied for a soft and cozy atmosphere. Calheta Beach is 4 km and the first levada is 1 km walk through a path winding through the eucalyptus forest.

The house is located on a beautiful, very local and quiet area of Calheta. It is way up the hill, so views are spectacular but you need a car as walking to store, cafes, restaurants is too much given the altitude.
The place was really clean, modern, with beautiful garden. Kitchen is compact with quite limited supply of equipment but enough if you are not planning to make five course meals during your stay.
There is nearby Levada trail if you start walking upwards to the mountain. Recommend taking that, despite the initial climbing it is worth it.
