About this house rental
Easy access to all of Southeast Arizona: Kartchner Caverns State Park, Tombstone, Bisbee, Coronado and Chiricahua National Monuments, Sierra Vista and Historic Fort Huachuca , great birding, hiking, and sight-seeing throughout the region including Ramsey Canyon Nature Preserve. If you have a motorcycle, we have a concrete driveway, so no gravel parking. Also many wineries nearby. Some people are aware that across the border in Naco, Mexico there are some excellent dentists. Ask us for details!

We appreciated the host's generous hospitality. The entire house - kitchen, bathroom and laundry room were stocked with every comfort from home. I have never seen a VBRO with a kitchen so fully stocked w appliances and spices. The host truly desires to make guests feel welcome.We also appreciated restaurant suggestions in nearby Sierra Vista and Tucson. The Welcome Guest Book gives excellent information. We especially appreciated the written warning re: speed traps on Hwy. 90. I'm sure it saved us a ticket!

We had a very enjoyable experience at Whetstone. Valley was amazing and the property was very well stocked. We are veterans of VBRO and even with some 5 star reviews we still, in the past, could offer additions. Valley, however, thought of everything. The house is well situation to all the attractions we were planning to visit. We highly recommend this property and hope we will be welcomed back next year.

The property was exactly what we needed for our 5 week stay. The location was ideal with easy access to hiking, wine tasting, and local sites.The kitchen was VERY well equipped, including spices and basic cooking needs, like oil and flour. The beds were very comfortable. The entire property was clean and modern.We won't hesitate to return when our travels take us to that area.

My husband and I rented this property while on vacation in southern Arizona .
I was excited that this property was pet friendly in the listing on VRBO, since we were bringing our two small dogs with us. The description in VRBO stated that there was a large fenced in backyard which was correct. However, it did not mention that the yard was not well-maintained and had a serious fire ant problem on the property grounds. My pets could not even go out in the yard to potty due to the overgrowth of prickly weeds and fire ants. The living quarters in the house were well maintained and clean. However the situation with our pets made it impossible for us to stay at this location. We spent one night on the property and left the next day. The owners stated that they were sorry that our pets could not adjust to the Arizona terrain. However, the owners were well aware months in advance that we would be bringing our pets. I feel that improvements should have been made prior to our arrival.
I would not recommend this property to anyone with pets or small children.
