Cairns Rainforest Retreat

There’s no words to describe our 5 day stay at Cairns Rainforest Retreat. We thought Peppers Palm Cove was luxury… this was next level. The luxury comes from the beautiful tree outlook from our cabin, the infinity pool in the forest, the privacy, the lack of people and the quiet… ohhh sooo quiet! We loved it so much we only left once, for a sunset cruise! Antje and Ingrid were highlights, so friendly and chatty. Thoroughly lovely genuine people. Highly recommended for anyone who needs time away from everything. Truly soul restoring.

Location - it was in suburbia and there was nothing around i.e cafes, restaurants, dairy. From booking.com it looked like a resort, but only two tooms

Beautiful Location! So wonderful to wake up and fall asleep to the sound of wildlife! We were even able to spot a possum one night crawling through the treetops! Owners were super welcoming and so friendly! I would 100% recommend - such a relaxing place

Staff were lovely, pool area was nice, unique treehouse cabin was a novelty, 10 mins from town centre, grounds and forest were beautiful location. Liked that only two cabins on the property so felt very private, especially as we were only couple for 2 nights.

As others have said, it is not clean enough. Shower had soap scum, dust and cobwebs throughout, toilet wall does not reach ceiling so no privacy, doors do not close properly so big gaps that lets bugs in, dirty cutlery. Everything just needed a good clean so this felt like glamping more than a luxe getaway! On top of that, our room was not serviced at all for our 3 night stay which was a shock. Common area by pool is nice but there is no TV as per photos, and limited complimentary items. Was some old cereal available by the pool for breakfast but that was it. No welcome instructions so we didn't realise there was wifi until morning we checked out. Outside light was broken, which they did ask if was bothering us, but it was unable to be fixed during our stay, and as there are no blinds it was a bit annoying. Oh, and as no blinds the top cabin can see into the bottom cabin and the sun will wake you up. There is also no place to hang up or store your clothes and room is smaller than it appears in pics. For the price i would expect better.
