Unique place

The location was lovely. The owners are really friendly and helpful. The food was great. I hate getting into cold water but if I was less of a wimp then I'm sure the natural pool would be amazing. Thankfully, for wimps like me, the hot tub was lovely and warm.

The Shepard's hut we stayed in was beautiful! The views were lovely and it was so quiet and relaxing! The staff were so friendly and couldn't do enough to ensure we had a great stay. The food was also exceptional!

Peaceful but a little unfinished as a retreat

The shepherd hut we had was a good size, sauna and hot tub included. The location was pretty and quiet. The massage I had was relaxing.

I felt for the premium price the attention to detail wasn't there such as fluffy towels and robes, welcome basket would have been nice as is in the middle of nowhere. The retreat as such appeared not open, somewhere to buy a drink such as alcohol would have been welcome...it didn't feel connected together.

So much potential, so disappointing.

Liked the remote location and surroundings. Peaceful and nice for walking.

I wasn’t expecting the cabin to be in the middle of a field. Not a fan of astroturf but understand convenience but condition was poor. However, the outdoor furniture was atrocious. Broken, rotting and had obviously been neglected for years. Whilst cabin was clean, it too was shabby. With a little TLC, it would be far nicer.

Tranquility and relaxation in abundance!

We had a 2 night stay in one of the shepherd's huts. The setting was so tranquil. Birds chirping all the time. We thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub and had our dinner by the outdoor fire. In the morning I took a bath in the lavender bath salts and relaxed staring out at the beautiful view of the fields surrounding us. The onsite swimming lake is divine. The bistro very quaint indeed and the treatments available on your doorstep are excellent. Once you enter the woods you just leave your busy life behind!! Amazing place to stay. We would love to return and enjoy more of the offering next time.

A relaxing night away!

We had a lovely relaxing stay! The shepherds hut was so nice and cosy! We had everything we needed to make breakfast and a little bbq. Hot tub was amazing!

Peaceful, remote, high standard of food, very comfortable bed

It is very remote and so private. Bed is very comfortable and loved the kitchen under the outside cover, also the bath. Full English breakfast delivered to the hut was very nice with local ingredients, very tasty.

You need to make sure you have bug spray, which the hosts tell you in the welcome email

Beautiful location, great, friendly and responsive staff, perfect for a peaceful break.

We wanted a weekend getaway from everything and were blown away at how lovely this was. Peaceful, tranquil, the deer meandering across the field, the evening mist rolling in as the sun set. Lazing in the outdoor bath in the dark, watching the moon and listening to owls. It was beautiful. Nothing to do except be at peace with yourselves and the nature surrounding you. p.s. I want to say its horrible so no-one else goes! lol

Only thing I could possibly say was making do with a sherry glass and cocktail glass for the wine! lol Easy to make do and the wine lasted longer!

Absolutely gorgeous little slice of heaven - hidden gem

Everything. From the gorgeous outside bath with a heater & very hot water ( good thing) to the ‘it has everything’ shepherds hut I loved every minute. It was tranquil & beautiful and had everything I needed and more. Little wonderful touches like the heated blanket, amazing wood burner, brilliant shower & the hot tub in the outside spa area. Loved it. Will be going back ❤️

A wonderful facility in a beautiful location, if you want to escape all the madness..

Very well thought out accommodation, in a lovely location with privacy and personal touches considered throughout.

There is very little that I personally did not like. For others I can see that the access road is not suitable for low vehicles, i.e. sports cars and some who have expensive vehicles of reasonable height may not be happy with the significant amount and depth of the pot-holes....

A peaceful time away with the weather to match. Can’t fault the location or the owners who were super friendly and helpful. Would recommend in a heartbeat and have planned another visit soon.
