Ruhig und nahe vom Strand. Schöner Aussenbereich. Sehr nettes und hilfreiches Personal.

Frühstück hätte umfangreicher und abwechselnder sein können.

As a family of five we had a really great stay for a week in this beautiful house. The kids especially spent a lot of time in the pool which is a good size pool. The beautiful beaches are five minutes away by foot. We had fun in the waves and the sunset at the silent beach is very beautiful. Soma and Yasith took care of us and the house. They are very friendly and helpful. Yasith took us on a couple of day trips, rock temple and a turtle beach, both very nice. Also took us to Tangalla when we needed to do some shopping. Did help us organise and book a safari in Yala and also our three day trip to Ella. We are super happy with our stay here at Machan villa and recommend it strongly.

Fantastic stay. The house is beautiful. Big rooms with comfy beds and AC, gorgeous pool and patio area, and beautiful outdoor space. We saw peacocks, monkeys, mongooses (mongeese?), squirrels, and lots of colorful birds, all right in the yard! The location is also fantastic. Really serene, quiet area, you feel like you're deep in the jungle, but you're also five minutes walk from two stunning beaches and a short tuk tuk or motorbike ride into Tangalle. Maybe the best part of all was the attention of the house staff and owner. Yasith and Soma are there every day to prepare breakfast and help you with anything you might need, including arranging tuk tuk rides, finding groceries, etc. They are both really kind, lovely people who were a huge help to us. The owner, Henry, is also a really standup guy. The AC in one bedroom broke our first night there (which was just a freak occurrence), and Henry refunded that night of our stay without question. He was also available by whatsapp throughout to recommend restaurants, etc.

Sehr schöne Gartenanlage mit tollem Pool, bei der Hitze eine Wohltat! Der Blick ins Grüne ist wunderbar, von der oberer Veranda sogar aufs Meer! Geräumiges Haus mit allem, was man braucht. Die beiden Service-Kräfte vor Ort sind wirklich ganz toll, super freundlich und bemüht jeden Wunsch zu erfüllen, egal, ob man morgens um 6 Uhr einen Tuktuk-Transfer braucht oder abends um 23 Uhr. Das frisch zubereitete Sri-Lankische Frühstück jeden Morgen war ein Gedicht!

Wir hatten sehr häufig Besuch von sechs-, acht- oder tausendbeinigen, recht großen Tieren im Haus. Das liegt natürlich an der naturnahen Lage. Aber vielleicht wäre es eine Idee, die immer offenen Teile der Fenster mit Drahtgittern zu versehen, so dass Luft reinkommt, aber keine Tiere? Der Weg zum Haus an der kleinen Müllhalde vorbei ist nicht gerade ein Genuss. Uns ist klar, dass das ein Problem Sri Lankas im Allgemeinen ist, aber vielleicht kann man mal mit dem Nachbarn reden?
