Great location close to the church, which made the 130 stairs up to the upper village worthwhile. Very friendly Ukrainian and Indian waiters, their big smiles, despite poor English, made the communication enjoyable. The room and bathroom are spacious, there is a small fridge for drinks. Could do with a few more details for comfort.

The owner ignored us totally; even when approached directly, she didn't manage even a smile, she looked very overworked and stressed. Especially annoying was the demand by one of the staff that we pay the remaining amount cash immediately upon arrival, before even putting the bags down. They wouldn't take us to the room otherwise - and that is after climbing the 130 stairs and traveling the whole day.

Spotlessly clean and nice staff. The water pressure in the bathroom is great! Mattress suited us (harder type). At the top of the hill full of small picturesque streets. Island itself is beautiful, lots of small private sand/pebble beaches. Locals and welcoming. There are restaurants that serve amazing fish and seafood but also affordable places for quick eats. Amazing bakery on the island.

Noise coming from the restaurant which was under our room window. I am used to summer evenings noise when friends and neighbours gather on the small streets for dinner and drink but this was another level of noise - young drunk American tourists playing loud music from portable speakers. People banging on the tables and shouting even after restaurant closed until 2AM. Apparently, the end of July is when Croatian expatriates from America gather on the island which is a lovely tradition , but this period is busier and noisier. I would not recommend to visit during this period if you're looking for a calm place to have rest. We did ask the property for a calm room in advance since there are some rooms facing away from the restaurant/ street but our request was not responded to. Room lacked basic utilities such as: kettle, some basic cutlery, glasses, etc. It is understandable they want the visitors to use the restaurant but if we stayed for more than 2 days I would start be more bothered by this.
