La cabane du pont du Douet

Fabulous peaceful location- a real escape from the hustle and bustle of life.

This is our second visit and it’s a wonderful place hence the 10 rating but a couple of suggestions to further improve- A welcome pack with some basic provisions could be really helpful after a long journey Some more comfortable outdoor furniture for lazy days! Given the extreme heat alert, ensuring the middle section of the track is cut as low as possible to avoid exhaust ignition risk

Absolute Traumlage mitten im Wald (die Zufahrt ist wirklich ein Wald-/Forstweg, man musss sich trauen weiterzufahren und wird belohnt), sehr schönes Haus mit kompletter Einrichtung, Schlüsselübergabe mittels Schlüsseltresor (Code wird nach Kautionshinterlegung per Mail mitgeteilt), Natur pur (obwohl von Wasser umgeben, fast keine Mücken), Karpfenfüttern von der Terrasse am Morgen und am Abend

Da es ein Holzhaus ist, war es bei unserem Aufenthalt sehr warm in Innern (Vermieter hatte aber 2 Ventilatoren zur Verfügung gestellt), Dusche hat im unteren Bereich leider schon deutliche Schimmelspuren in den Fugen

Mitten in der Natur, gut gelegen für Sightseeing. Absolute Ruhe resp. nur das Konzert der Frösche und Vögel. Man hat den ganzen Platz für sich allein und muss auf keinen Komfort verzichten!

The property was beautiful. It was secluded and peaceful whilst still being accessible to lots of lovely places to explore in the car as well as nice walks nearby. The cabin is beautifully decorated with comfortable beds, a nice bathroom with great shower and very well equipped kitchen. Lots of helpful literature to support exploring the area and to understand the nature around you. It felt like we were staying in a nature reserve. So relaxing and wonderful to witness beautiful butterflies, dragonflies, an array of birds including beautiful swans. Also had the pleasure of seeing animals who inhabited the lake and even had a couple of visits from a beautiful deer! There is so much to see nearby if you can bear to leave the beautiful property. Managed to visit a number of chateaux, each with their own special character. It has been an incredible experience. I feel like I’ve been on a wellbeing retreat and we have booked to come again next year!
