We have had an amazing vacation in this lovely house! The house contains everything one needs and more. Everything is clean and perfectly maintained (inside the house as well as outside). The kids really enjoyed the pool area, the table tennis and the swing. They also enjoyed visiting and feeding "Bromil" the donkey every day (aparantly his favorite food are banana peels). The house is located in the middle of the Loire Vally very close to the main Chateaus. There is a lovely small town a few minutes away with a great bakery and a supermarket. Henri the owner is the nicest person and did his best to make our stay as pleasant as possible. We highly recommend! P.S. - unlike other reviews I read, the wifi was very good and we had no problems streaming Netflix

Well equipped comfortable property in a beautiful peaceful setting. Ideally situated for visiting the villages and chateaux of the rivers Loire and Cher. Lovely large pool to relax by.

Great base for exploring and relaxing

We had a lovely stay at this property. Quiet rural area, property on Same site as owner who was available to answer any questions. Pool was lovely for a dip after a long day exploring local Chateaus. Plenty of space around property to play games on the grass, swim, petanque pitch. Local attractions include Amboise and a visit to the chateau. Highly recommend is a day visit to Zoo Beauval - World class. The Bird show is excellent. Local Supermarche is roughly 25minites drive in local town Blere. Local Boulangerie Des Roses about 10 minutes drive - go early to get croissants - also don't miss out on the meringues. Internet WiFi included but is very slow (1Mb down, 0.5Mb up) so don't expect to do much other than plan travel days. You need to use mobile data sometimes. So no streaming of movies etc is possible in the evening when kids go to bed. But there is plenty to do and this is only a small inconvenience. A great stay. Well recommended, and we would return in the future. Thanks Henri and Martine for hosting us.

A very well equipped gite in a lovely location. Easy reach of Loire and chateaux. All the family enjoyed the pool and wi-fi. Modern kitchen, comfortable lounge and plenty of space for 6 to 8 people. Highly recommended!

Excellent séjour dans un gîte parfait en tout point... Idéalement situé pour faire le zoo de Beauval, les châteaux de la Loire et la région. Les propriétaires au top et le gîte offre de super prestations. Si j'avais juste une petite remarque vu que c'est pour 8 personnes il manquerait une 2eme douche dans la maison... Mais sinon tout est super et très propre. Merci à vous 😁😁

Nous cherchions un gîte pas trop loin du zoo de Beauval et en même temps du calme. Là tout était réuni. Le gîte est fidèle à la description. Il est très bien équipé, de beaux espaces. L'extérieur très bien nous avons pu faire un barbecue. Les propriétaires sont fort sympatiques. Nous pourrions revenir pour visiter les châteaux qui sont à proximités. Merci beaucoup pour vôtre acceuil.

Nous confirmons tous les commentaires élogieux sur la Calognière : gîte très agréable, bien équipé, un superbe jardin bien entretenu, fleuri, la piscine bien sûr avec son dôme qui permet de la sécuriser et d’avoir une température de l’eau très agréable, la vue sur la campagne, la situation au milieu des châteaux de la Loire, à proximité du zoo de Beauval… Les enfants ont adoré les poules et l’âne. Martine et Henri vous accueillent avec une grande gentillesse, ils sont discrets, mais très serviables. Bref, nous gardons précieusement l’adresse et reviendrons très certainement Merci pour ce super séjour, bien trop court à notre goût

El alojamiento es increible. Bonito, geande y tranquilo. Muy bien equipado tanto en los utensilios diarios como en material para jugar y entretener a los niños. Los propietarios muy atentos y simpáticos . A pesar de compartir terreno se dispone de una privacidad total como si estuvieras solo. Si quieres estar tranquilo, tener espacio para jugar y una buena ubicación para visitar castillos este es vuestro sitio. Muchas gracias!

Mooi gerieflijk huis, voldoende ruimte, zalig zwembad, rustig gelegen tussen de weilanden, heel vriendelijke eigenaar. In Sublaines zelf is er jammer genoeg geen winkel, maar op 8 km in Bléré is een gezellig centrum met bakkers, slager en restaurants, en een intermarché. Topverlof gehad, super voor koppels of voor families met kinderen!

We had splendid stay in the beautiful country-side villa of family Letterme. It is located in the little village of Sublaines and it was our home-base for six days Loire-valley -explorations. The accomodation was totally very satisfying. The house and all the premisses were clean and in good condition. The kitchen is equipped for normal household-cooking and the pool-are was really a relief in the hot summer days. Family Lettrme were very friendly and helpful and also made us feel like home here. Strong suggestion!

Gite au top, très propre, très bien équipé. Bonne literie, propriétaires très discrets tout en étant disponibles. Une piscine très agréable et appréciée surtout pendant la période caniculaire que l'on a eu pendant notre séjour. Bourvil était lui aussi apprécié et nous regardait pendant nos parties de pétanque. Nous gardons l'adresse et reviendrons certainement une prochaine fois. Merci à monsieur et madame Leterme pour leur accueil et leur sympathie. Je recommande cette location pour des vacances reposantes au calme tout en étant très bien située pour les visites régionales. Amicalement

We really enjoyed our week at La Calogniere at Sublaines. The gite was very spacious and as there were only two of us we only used the ground floor which had a double bedroom, a kitchen diner, a shower and a toilet. There were patio doors which opened out onto the swimming pool and it was lovely going for a dip in the pool after a day’ sightseeing and relaxing on a sun bed. The accommodation was spotless and the kitchen had everything you could need. Outside was a washing line where you could dry your towels etc. The host was welcoming and could explain what you needed to know in English. It is very close to Blere where you can get all your shopping and also an ideal base to visit Loches, Azay le Rideau, Chenonceau and Beauval Zoo.
