FARM RESTORED TRADITIONAL FRAMEWORK AND EXCEPTIONAL VIEW

We had a fabulous holiday here in July. The house is lovely, with everything you need for a comfortable stay. With just 4 of us we had loads of space, it would be just as comfortable with a full house. The rooms were large and very clean, the beds very comfortable. They did keep the heat in at night and would benefit from fans to use in the summer. The bathrooms were spotless. We were a little wary of no wifi with 2 sons in tow, but they amused themselves with the Wii and French tele. And the pool of course, was a godsend! With temperatures in the high 30’s and up into the 40’s we spent a lot of time there. There were some teething problems with the pool but Guy was excellent and with help from his local friend had it sorted and back to lovely blue water quickly. One thing I would suggest are a couple more sun shades, in the afternoon there’s not a lot of shade by the pool. As it was so hot, we didn’t venture far and self catered most evening meals. So having a well equipped kitchen was perfect, a dishwasher, a big fridge with an ice maker and the pots you could ever need, made all the difference. We didn’t use the BBQ. There are lots of indoor and outdoor games to make use of too. I enjoyed looking through the photo book showing how the house was transformed from an old barn to its current use. The gardens are attractive and large, surrounded by sunflowers whilst we were there. Most evenings we sat out looking at the view over the valley and watching the stars as they appeared. It was so peaceful we didn’t want to leave. In the village there is a very good butchers and the bread is good from the boulangerie, plus a fairly well stocked corner shop. I enjoyed taking my paddleboard on the canal at the bottom of the hill very much. You could access the river, alongside the canal, without too much difficulty too. All in all, an excellent property with a lovely host. I would highly recommend staying here.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour en famille dans cette maison magnifique décorée avec goût et possédant une histoire. Les équipements sont complets ( vaisselle, four, lave vaisselle, lave linge, sèche linge, piscine, jeux pour tous…). Les extérieurs très grands et bien entretenus permettent de passer de très bons moments tout en profitant de l’atout majeur de la maison: la vue extraordinaire sur la Garonne. Le gîte est au calme absolu. Le propriétaire est disponible et très sympathique.
