This big and beautiful charming property is located just 1 hour from Paris from Bercy via the A4 motorway, it's located in the middle of the Champagne vineyards and beautiful rolling countryside. For your safety and tranquility, the property's park is entirely enclosed. You can relax near the large fireplace in the living room. The house is very well equipped, refined and quality decoration. During the periods from April/May to October the swimming pool is heated. A tennis court awaits the more sporty, as well as table football and a ping-pong table. Many activities are offered in the region, I would be happy to share them with you

We had a wonderful time, now twice already, staying with friends and their kids in this beautiful estate house in the Champagne region. Gorgeous property with pool, tennis court and garden, nice hikes around, and the whole Champagne region to discover by car. Most wonderful. The property is managed well and kindly. Fully recommend!

We spent a week here and I must say it is an amazing house for a large group. The property is superbly maintained, with bed linen and towels provided. The pool is heated and larger that the photos show which kept the kids busy all day. In the evening, the bbq and large outdoor table made for a relaxing dinner location is a beautiful setting. I couldn't recommend the property enough.

Beautiful property with space for family of 13 for my wife’s birthday celebration. The lady was very helpful, it was clean and very warm - underfloor heating was an unexpected surprise in an old historic property. Enjoyed playing tennis and table tennis, only an hour from Paris. Pool was closed unfortunately but otherwise a perfect stay

The grounds are beautiful, the château was comfortable, spacious and inviting, the pool was warm and refreshing. It was 15 minutes from Château Thierry which is a charming village with a fabulous crepery, cheese shop, bakeries and markets. It's about 35 minutes to Epernay and to Reims. Perfectly situated for champagne tasting. Armelle was a delightful caretaker. She and her husband were very helpful and kind. Our ten friends had a wonderful time.

We really enjoyed our stay. It's perfect for a group of friends or family. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. The setting is beautiful and the house is charming. The kitchen is a chef's dream - equipped with everything you need and an amazing oven/stove. The on-site managers (lovely couple) were very helpful and friendly. It is not an easy walk to restaurants or a grocery store. The pool as was not super warm, but both of these notes were clearly indicated prior to our stay. There were no surprises. Highly recommended!

We brought our family of 9 here and loved it. We cooked great meals together, played tennis and lounged around the pool on the sunny days. We built a big fire on the first stormy night. We drank lots of delicious champagne and toured the region from Reims to Epernay and even Paris on one long day trip. We would do it all over again!

We had a family holiday here and we loved it. The house lovely and well furnished within the character of the house. We were relaxed and some active, the pool is great, the gardens spacious and lovely. We were all there mixed generations and we all enjoyed our stay. Every room is different and interesting. Good Wi-fi and the house was well furnished and equipped I guess this may be the best family holiday for us

We had the most relaxing and enjoyable time in Monthurel. The property was charming. comfortable and with the pool and tennis court and table tennis - we felt we were in a country club. The views were unbeatable. The guard couple were extremely warm and welcoming. We were delayed arriving and they stayed up late to let us in still with warm smiles and no complaint. We will definitely go again.

Seriously though, the pictures do not do this place justice. The groundskeepers are extremely nice and very charming. The grounds are impeccable and the chateau is like a small castle. You cant really see the tower on the right side. It has some amazing views. Chateau-Thierry is 20 minutes away which we had not heard of and it was very quaint. We stayed 4 days and went into Epernay 2 of the 4 days leaving kids behind. The kids had a blast at the pool. The pool area is well cared for and where we spent most of our time. We did not have any issue with any bathrooms or running out of hot water or anything. It all went wonderfully. Wifi was spotty but all over the region was the same. The owner was a pleasure to work with. The contract was in French which I had to translate but hey, we are in France. We are tempted to just book it again for next year. I felt it was a great value for the money. The deposit was a bit steep but I think it serves a purpose. The deposit was returned in full which took about a week.

Our group had a wonderful stay at this large and complex house that was able to accommodate all 11 of us with ease. The facilities are fantastic, very useable and had everything we needed (other that slightly dubious wifi). Within easy access of Paris on right on the doorstep of all things Champagne. The kids had a wonderful time and used the heated swimming pool and tennis courts regularly. The adults cooked and socialised in the many areas of the house. Even when it rained it didn't dampen our spirits with the large fire place keeping us warm - even in June it can get a bit chilly in northern France (especially for us folk from Australia). Great stuff and would love to stay again.

Het huis is perfect. Het is voorzien van alle gemakken en voor ieder wat wils. Zwembad, tennisbaan, tafeltennis, fijne eet en leefruimten en goede slaapplekken voor iedereen. Wij waren met een groep van 11 vrienden en hebben ervan genoten. Het huis, het mooie weer en de omgeving waren top. Het is alleen even wat lastiger om je verstaanbaar te maken als je zoals ons niet echt Frans spreekt. Maar uiteindelijk komt dat goed.

Met 8 volwassenen, 3 kinderen en 3 honden hebben wij heerlijk genoten van een zonnige vakantieweek in de Champagne. Het zwembad en de tennisbaan zijn intensief gebruikt, en in de prima geoutilleerde keuken/barbecue konden wij goed uit de voeten om de heerlijkste maaltijden te maken. Prima bakker in de buurt, een grote Leclerc op 20 minuten rijden voor alle inkopen. We hebben alleen maar buiten geleefd. Persoonlijk vonden we de matrassen wat aan de harde kant. Ondanks het feit dat mijn vader tijdens deze vakantie ongelukkig ten val kwam en zijn heup brak, hebben we er met z'n allen toch nog wat van weten te maken, mede dankzij deze fijne plek.

The house was more than we expected. Every single room is beautifully restored and decorated to a very high standard. We were 13 people and loved the place very much. The garden is more like a park and the pool and the tennis court were highly appreciated. The kitchen was well equipped with a hugh gas stove- highly appreciated by our cooking crew. Unfortunately a tornado hit the valley very badly and the house got badly damaged. For the second night of the weekend, that we stayed at the house, there was no electricity. The very nice housekeeper helped us out with some candles and we had a lovely romantic dinner on the patio. We already booked the house again for our next year’s weekend in the champagne.

Nous avons passé un excellent week-end entre amis et avec enfants. La demeure est superbe et spacieuse, le jardin et le terrain de tennis parfaitement entretenus (nous n'avons pu profiter de la piscine car ce n'est pas la saison). Chaque chambre possède sa salle d'eau/salle de bains, ce qui est très appréciable pour un week-end entre amis. Les espaces communs sont chaleureux et permettent de passer de très bon moments. Armelle (la gardienne) est très sympathique et disponible pour répondre à toutes nos questions. Je recommande très fortement cette propriété !

Sehr schönes Anwesen mit parkähnlichem Grundstück. Schöner Pool, Tennisplatz! Küche sehr gut ausgestattet, wir haben viel und lecker gekocht. Gute Supermärkte in Château-Thierry und ein hervorragender Bäcker in Crézancy. Hilfsbereite Gardienne auf dem Grundstück wohnend. Allerdings traf die Beschreibung der Zimmer nicht zu: die zwei angegebenen "Einzelzimmer" gibt es nicht - es sind keine Extrazimmer sondern Einzelbetten im Turm auf unterschiedlichen Etagen, aber nicht separat. Das machte die Verteilung in unserer Gruppe (Paare und Singles mit jugendlichen Kindern unterschiedlicher Geschlechter) schwierig. Für eine große Familie ist das vermutlich weniger ein Problem. Dennoch hatten wir einen schönen Aufenthalt.

We have had an amazing holiday in this lovely property. There is enough space for 12 people and the house is very well equiped for games, sports, cooking etc. Superb!! We highly recommend it. Armelle, the guardian is a very nice person and very helpful. Congratulations to the owners for having such a charming house. The kids enjoyed the pool , the tennis court, and also playing basketball and football . And although there is internet connection, they forgot about the iPad for 4 days!! We will come back!

Accueil sérieux et chaleureux dans cette charmante propriété bien équipée (ping-pong, baby-foot, enceinte dans le salon, bois pour la cheminée etc.), grande pièce principale très agréable autour de la cheminée, nous avons passé un très bon week-end et avons même pu profiter du tennis pendant les accalmies de la météo. Vue magnifique sur le jardin très bien entretenu et les vallons de champagne (les premiers producteurs sont accessibles à pied :-)). Seul bémol à la réservation car nous avons dû avancer la caution de 2500€ 2 semaines avant notre séjour.

Bonjour Madame, Monsieur, Nous avons passé 10 jours au mois de juillet 2017. Si on paie peu, on a peu a dire. Si on ose demander des prix de location « Côte d’Azur », on a au moins droit à un confort de base décent. La maison : pas 7 chambres, mais 5 chambres et 2 paliers d’escalier avec un petit lit, des coussins comme des sacs de sable, des matelas comme des dalles béton, des draps de lit avec couverture comme au 19ième siècle, pas d’armoires dans les chambres mais une « cabine commun » dans le couloir, une douche pour 5 chambres qui ne fonctionnait pas, pas de terrasse mais un parking avec des pavés, une piscine sale, des meubles d’extérieur bon pour le dépotoir, etc, etc.… La région : offre culturelle, activités dans la région, manifestations, offre culinaire, etc : zéro. Probablement la région la plus morte de toute l’Europe. Le prix de location pour les 10 jours répresentait une somme astronomique. Nous sommes désolés, mais nous nous sentons vraiment trichés. Un vrai scandale. La Venerie à Monthurel : une raison pour passer ses vacances chez soi à maison! Je reste à votre disposition pour toutes informations complémentaires. Don't look any further, just book this house. It's exactly as great as on the pictures. Nice atmosphere, eye for detail when it comes to decoration, a very very well equipped kitchen, hardcore tennis court, lovely pool so great value for money. It's at the "route du champagne" so you can start looking for some great bubbles and views over the wineries immediately. On top of that the great concierges that are super friendly and will help you with anything needed. Finally, important to me as well: a very reliable owner, who responded quickly to any questions I had and returned the guarantee deposit we transferred via credit card within a week. As I said; don't look any further, just book it!

Nous avons passé à 9 personnes un excellent long week-end de quatre jours dans cette belle propriété. L'accueil et le contact avec Armelle, la responsable du site sur place, ont été des plus sympathiques et serviables. Nous avons profité de tout ce que la propriété pouvait nous offrir: le confort à l'intérieur ainsi que la terrasse ensoleillée pour les repas, le terrain de tennis et, cerise sur le gâteau: la piscine, à tout moment de la journée (le must restant le matin avant le petit-déjeuner!!!). Il manquait juste une chaîne hi-fi pour nos soirées dansantes, mais Armelle a solutionné le problème avec sa gentillesse habituelle. Nous avons fait une très belle balade dans les vignes à quelques km de là, ainsi qu'une sortie vélo autour d'Epernay, charmante petite ville vivante et accueillante. Nous recommandons vivement cette belle bâtisse pour passer des journées merveilleuses loin de l'agitation des villes, ( sans oublier qu'il est possible bien sûr de revenir avec quelques bonnes bouteilles de Champagne en souvenir ). Ce fut une belle parenthèse dans la vie de tous les jours!
