About this house rental

We offer for this summer, a seasonal rental in the mountains.
The chalet is located 1 km after the town center, in a very calm housing estate, in the direction of Queyras, on a fenced plot of 1000 m², with a magnificent panorama.
The apartment, of about 40 m², is located on the ground floor of the chalet and also includes a terrace and a closed garage.
Electric heating, hot water by cumulus, the floor is tiled. Pine furniture, kitchen area equipped with a mixed stove, fridge-freezer, washing machine, TV and WIFI internet
A 140 bed, a 90 bed in the bedroom, a sofa bed in the S to M.

A very pleasant and relaxing week

We were pleased to find this ground floor accommodation still available at short notice in Guillestre on the route of the Tour de France, which we wanted to see. Nicole who lives in the upper floors was there to meet us to show us where to park the car and point out everything in the apartment. We were a bit concerned that she doesn’t speak English and we speak very little French. Whether by chance or by arrangement we don’t know but her granddaughter Elsa who does speak English was visiting when we arrived and was able to act as interpreter. Entry is via the garage which is clean and tidy, and provided useful storage space for my bike and our luggage. There’s also a French window from the living room / kitchen which opens onto a small terrace underneath the first floor balcony. This was shaded from all but the early morning sun, which we were very grateful for given the heat wave that was covering all of France that week with afternoon temperatures even in Guillestre reaching 37 degrees. We ate all our meals out there. There is a spacious garden, and the property is high up on the edge of Guillestre, very peaceful, with magnificent views of the mountains. It’s an easy kilometre walk down to the middle of the town, but an uphill trudge back. Facilities are very much as shown in the pictures on the website, except that there’s now a flat screen TV. If you want to make a pot of tea there’s a teapot but you may wish to bring your own kettle. Bed linen can be provided if you ask for it beforehand, but not towels or tea towels. Nicole was out watering the garden most evenings, and maintained a discrete distance, though I’m sure she would have been pleased to chat to us if our French had been up to it. She did ask a couple of evenings if everything was OK and we had everything we needed, and was very concerned the day before we were due to leave that we knew the normal route back to Lyon was blocked by a landslide as a result of the same storms that had washed out Stage 19 of the Tour, and got Elsa to pass the information on to us by phone.

Nous garderons de ces vacances un super souvenir. Tout était pour le mieux : une location qui correspondait en tous points à notre attente : propre où rien ne manque, très agréable avec son grand jardin fleuri, sa vue sur le massif des Ecrins et sa terrasse très appréciable, calme et le point de départ idéal pour aller faire de belles ballades dans le Queyras. Sans oublier la gentillesse de sa propriétaire qui a su nous conseiller pour passer un séjour inoubliable. Je conseillerai bien sûr vivement cette location

Madame Martin nous a indiqué les bons petits coins selon nos goûts. De plus elle est d'une gentillesse incomparable. Et quel plaisir à l'arrivée de trouver un appartement en excellent état de propreté. Il ne manque rien. Aucun doute, nous reviendrons. Encore merci pour votre accueil

Appartement agréable, entouré d'un jardin coquet. Propriétaires très sympathiques, donnant des conseils sur la région et offrant avec plaisir les herbes aromatiques de leur jardin Le site est magnifique, de nombreuses possibilités de randonnées. Réveil avec le chant des oiseaux, aucun bruit. Nous y retournons l'année prochaine.

Nous avons tout d'abord eu un excellent contact et nous avons passé un formidable séjour Location impeccable, comme si nous étions à la maison. Très bien située, à mi-chemin entre Briançon et Embrun. Les propriétaires très gentils et de bons conseils pour les balades nous gardons un bon souvenir de la rando au "Génépi" et les chalets de Furfande. Jardin bien entretenu, par le propriétaire...entouré d'une pelouse et d'espaces fleuris...sans oublier les bonnes salades L'appartement est très bien exposé, dans un quartier calme et pourtant près des commerces. La région est magnifique. Vous êtes une belle petite famille et la spontanéité de vos enfants était bien sympa. Guillestre et des nombreuses activités. En plus le soleil est présent!!
