About this house rental

Transport yourself to the Middle Ages by choosing to stay in Beynac for your next vacation!
BEYNAC, charming village located near Sarlat, La Roque Gageac, the castle of Milandes, Lascaux, Les Eyzies...
Our house is located halfway between the river and the majestic castle of the village.
It is atypical and bright. It offers an unforgettable view of the river from each room.
It is not suitable for young children or very old people. Your entrance will be through the living room, a large bright room consisting of a kitchen, a living room and a dining room.
A pretty wooden staircase leads to the 2 bedrooms.
The bathroom is composed of a basin, a shower and a toilet (fully renovated in February 2023).
From all the rooms, a breathtaking view of the Dordogne will be offered to you!
Small terrace for a drink, an aperitif and why not your breakfast or your dinner?
It is also a nice place to take pretty pictures.

The property was just as described and perfect for us. It’s right in the heart of Beynac and has an outstanding view of the river.Martine greeted us on arrival and her smile and enthusiasm are infectious. She was super to deal with. During our stay, the owner, Frederique, would check in on us to ensure we were ok and would give us recommendations of places to see and where to eat.We highly recommend.

A lovely historic and well appointed “apartment” just high enough with a bit of a climb to catch a splendid view of the Dordogne! We were comfortable and delighted with our stay.

A beautiful location situated on the footpath to Beynac Castle. The accomodation is well equipped, spacious and clean. We had initial problems with WIFI but the owners and Martine were fantastic in helping us to sort the issues out and communication was great, so it was all sorted rapidly. We would highly recommend this accommodation and location!

The house is an old stone house - Understood - but it needs to be updated to convenient standards. Let me preface this review —I have stayed in rentals all over the world in 54 different countries, so I know what rentals are like. Since we were staying for 17 days and working half the time, we would be "living" in this house - that means cooking! The kitchen looks like something out of 1950. It was hard to cook with limited kitchen tools and an antique burner (one of which didn't work). The kitchen had no oven; it was a tabletop model in the living area. The listing does not describe the property correctly. The bedrooms are upstairs and very hot with little airflow. My husband is 6'2", and standing in the room was difficult. The bathroom is downstairs, and the stairs are treacherous at night. The bathroom is tiny (even by European standards). I am only 5'3" / 112 lbs and barely fit in the shower. If I turned around, my back would hit the handle, making it scalding or freezing. There is also a step with a very low header door frame. Hubby is 6'2" and now has 3 gashes in his head from hitting it. A rubber or soft cushioning could solve that. I work remotely, and the internet was way too slow to accomplish anything. All in all, the host could do a lot to spruce the place up. It would be a great stay for a weekend, but not longer. Frederique tried to help, but I think the cultural differences were too great.
