TRANQUILITY: double gazing and opaque curtains at every window. Do note that some light sleepers may be bothered by the sound of the tramway running from early in the morning until the evening. However, 95% of our travelers do not mind it at all and consider the tram’s proximity a major asset.

property great location with tram literally next to Apt. which made enjoyment of Lyon so much easier. Apt. spacious, fine facilities, excellent transportation advice from landlady Lisa. The neighborhood is away from all sights to see but no problem due to the tram so easy to use. The manuals on apartment and transportation are very useful and easy to understand. Grocery store, metro, etc easy reach. minor disappointment that Lisa was not there on arrival to go over apartment as little problems much easier to solve on direct discussion with owner as we have always done in the past with rentals.

Yes, it's in Villeurbanne - a stone's throw from the 6th Arr. - but with the T1 & T4 tram literally outside your door getting around Lyon via tram or metro connections was so easy. It was wonderful to get back after a long day and open the door to a spacious living/dining room area, open the balcony door for fresh air and view the tree tops. A plus was the TV which worked with our ROKU. The complex was quiet. The beds were comfortable and both rooms had blackout curtains and plenty of closet/storage space. We were there for 9 nights so it was nice to have a kitchen for breakfast or late night snacks. We had to buy paper towels, napkins and tissues. Note that the shower room has a vanity, however, the toilet is in a completely separate room near the kitchen. Bring your own soap & shampoo if you don't like using the dispensers provided. The bedside lamps are not meant for reading in case you like to read in bed at night. We highly recommend Divan the Turkish restaurant directly across the street. Our first night we had a fabulous meal there. Followed by a great late night pizza. The T4 takes you quickly to Part Deux train station which was so convenient for our day trips outside of Lyon. We walked through the Tete d'Or park one evening - the lovely botanical garden was right there - to get to our restaurant in Foch. Great stay at the Celestay. We arrived early and were able to check in early, thanks to great communication with Lisa. Apartment was very clean, spacious and had everything we could possibly need for our stay … including a bottle of wine! Tram stops virtually outside the front door which was extremely convenient. Would definitely recommend a stay at the Celestay.

We enjoyed our stay Immensely. We were there for a week and Lisa was very attentive to our needs! The beds were extremely comfortable and the space itself quite large and well kept! Even the welcoming bottle of rose was great!🍷 The full kitchen with cooktop, stove and microwave came with full plates & cutlery so we made dinner some nights. Washer & dryer & dishwasher were also most appreciated. We would love to stay here again if we ever come back to Lyon!
