The staff was very friendly and very accommodating. I had initially booked what I thought was a private room, but turns out it was a shared room with open beds, which had no privacy. I opted for a bunk with a blind for privacy.
Thankfully there was nobody above me, but I felt bad for the noises made by opening and closing the blinds.
The facilities are pretty old, but it was comfortable. The wooden sliding doors can be pretty disruptive with people coming in and out, but to be expected of older Japanese homes. Single shared washroom and bath can make things challenging if there are more people.

Super good location, its in between the station and the beach.
Didnt like the face that the toilet is in the bedroom.

Super close to Aoshima Beach and the train station. I was also allowed to keep my luggage at the guesthouse until my train in the afternoon.
The sliding door to the shower facilities was difficult to use. It got stuck in its track
