About this chalet rental

Family cottage located in Vallandry at 1600 m altitude, ski area Peisey / Vallandry / Les Arcs, connected to La Plagne.
Calm environment with beautiful panorama on Haute Tarentaise valley, about 300 m from the chairlift, ski schools, shops and restaurants.

Chalet of 100 m2 - 10 p - composed of 1 bedroom 1 double bed / 1 bedroom 2 single beds / 1 bedroom 4 single beds / 1 double sofa bed in independent living room. 2 bathrooms and 1 shower room, 2 toilets. Living room Dining room with fully equipped American kitchen (oven, microwave, dishwasher, ceramic hob). TV / DVD player. Beautiful south / west terrace overlooking valley Haute Tarentaise. End of stay cleaning included. Rent from Saturday to Saturday

A great holiday home for 2 families

A great holiday home for 2 families

We had a fabulous week staying at Chalet Gentiane. We found it easily in Vallandry, thanks to the information pack which was sent before departure. We picked up the keys with no problems. The chalet was very well provided with everything we needed. The kitchen was well stocked with equipment and utensils and it felt like a home from home. We were a little concerned when reading previous reviews that the beds may not be comfortable, but we needn't have worried. The beds were very comfortable and the mattresses seemed new. The boot room in the basement opened out onto the path and meant that we could all put on our boots and coats easily each morning. Our ski equipment could be stored easily and tidily in this room overnight. We had quite a lot of snowfall during our week, and the path down to the chalet was looked after each day - snow cleared and grit put down. This meant that we were always able to climb up and down the path to the road without mishap! We always allowed too much time to get to ski school each morning (to allow for younger children in the party to have their meltdowns and then be persuaded to carry on). It took about 10 minutes at a brisk pace and 20 minutes at child's pace. I can't speak highly enough about the chalet and all my dealings with the owner. As a first time renter from owners direct I was a little worried about the whole process, but I needn't have been. It all went very smoothly. The resort of Vallandry was fabulous too. It was our second holiday here and we absolutely love it. It is small and family friendly, but at the same time has access to an amazing array of pistes (we made it over to La Plagne this year too). The small supermarket has a great range of products - we would definitely think about bringing less food ourselves and buying on site. It is more expensive but not excessively so.

The wooden Chalet is located smth arround 250 meters from the towncenter and the mainlift in Vallandry. With a group of 10 friends we found everything we needed and in the well equipped kitchen even some things more. We liked the fact that you can control the heating in every room, regarding the point hot/cold it is not adviceable to take a bath in one of the two tubs as (depending on the size of your group) some may end up with a cold shower :-). The Chalet is perfect for 2-3 familys or for friends who want to enjoy a skiingholliday without heavy partying as Vallandry is not a place for this!

We stayed here with 8 people for a week of skiing and equipped with all you need. Chalet is situated perfectly inbetween both ski areas Les Arcs and La Plagne. You do not need a car once you have arrived at the chalet. Contact with owners was always quick, professionell and easy. We will recommend this location to all skiers!

Nous avons passé de superbes vacances de Noël. Nous sommes venus à 10, enfants,parents et grands-parents. Chalet très bien équipé avec une vue magnifique sur la montagne enneigée... Nous reviendrons sans hésiter ! Accès facile piste et commerces , l’idéal est de laisser ses skis tous les jours chez ski set ce qui évite de les transporter tous les jours .

We hebben heel erg genoten van ons verblijf in chalet Gentiane. De chalet is groot en is goed voorzien : groot terras, lokaal voor skimateriaal, 3 badkamers, ruime kamers, voldoende speelruimte voor de kinderen. We komen hier zeker terug!

27/02/2018. Bien situé, au calme, très proche centre station et remontées mécaniques. Domaine skiable très vaste au milieu des sapins. On se croirait à la maison : bien équipé, pièce de vie très agréable, très belle vue sur la vallée et très lumineuse. Très bon échanges avec les propriétaires. Adresse à conserver et à recommander.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans ce charmant chalet, nous étions 2 familles de 4 pers, c était impeccable. En plus, la neige était au RDV. Le village est très mignon et les commerçants très accueillants.

la semaine du 4 - 11 mars 2017 dans votre châlet à Vallandry c'est très bien passée. Beaucoup de neige et du soleil! les jeunes faisant du ski et nous, mon mari (81) et moi même (69) restant au chalet faisant la cuisine!! en somme: le châlet est très comfortable et bien outillé et bien situé pour le téléski et des commerces (5 minutes). le balcon avec une vue splendide. pour les personnes non skieurs et plus agées il manque une chaise confortable. les lits sont ok pour les jeunes. le lit double, pour nous, médiocre. wifi souhaitable. tapis anti glissantes aux salles des bains manquent. il nous reste une très bon souvenir de notre séjour dans un châlet impeccable! maurits sr et sheila smalt

We had a very pleasant stay with the family (6 adults 30-81). Close to the lifts and town centre. Chalet was nicely decorated and clean. Big terrace with beautiful view on the mountains. We had a wonderful week, with perfect snow. Some tips for improvement: - thin walls, so better not make noise in upper rooms - no wifi - living room could use some good chairs, like a fauteuil. It has now 2 couches, which is not more than a made bed with some pillows, or wooden table chairs. - Bed Matrasses are really thin, back ache! Non of us have slept well for a week.

Chalet très agréable, conforme à sa description, accès facile au rdc pour y ranger le matériel de ski, et grands espaces salon:cuisine, comme chambres. Très bien équipé et pratique. La semaine dans le domaine s'est très bien passée, à 100 m du centre du village où les magasins sont là en nombre; accès facile au télésiège après quelques "montées"à pieds, (les skis et bâtons étaient laissés au magasin de location par facilité). Nous avons pris plaisir à aller au cinéma du village et à profiter des produits locaux... Le domaine ainsi que celui des Arcs fût très agréable. Merci

On revient d'1 semaine de ski avec 2 couples d’amis, on s’est éclaté. On était bien logé, le chalet a vraiment tout il manque de rien. On se croirait à la maison, il y a même des bouquins et des jeux de société. Tout est à côté, sherpa pour faire ses courses, restos, bars et à 5 min à pied des télésièges. J’aime beaucoup cette station car on a accès à plusieurs domaines et on peut même passer une journée à la Plagne en prenant le Vanoise Express. Station sympa et familiale.

Chalet très bien situé, endroit tranquille et à la fois proche de la station, à quelques minutes à pied de la remontée mécanique ! Ambiance familiale dans le village. Logement spacieux et bien équipé. On a pu profiter du grand balcon le midi pour déjeuner et le soir pour admirer le coucher du soleil… top ! Une semaine avec peu de neige mais une très belle météo qui a permis de passer un superbe séjour. On gardera de très bons souvenirs. Propriétaire très agréable et réactif, à refaire !
