Overall we really loved our stay in this villa. Really beautifully laid out. Great swimming pool. It is the perfect place to relax and chill. Desi the chef cooked some amazing food. The only real and slight downside is the long commute to the villa from the airport. Note that the location is not near all the typical tourist places but that was one of the reasons why we wanted to stay here. There are still options for day trips out so still plenty to do.

What an amazing experience!! The villa was so well kept and comfortable. Everyday was spectacular, starting with fresh breakfast with a stunning view of the beach. Every meal which was prepared to serve was great. (Made with care and love) Can’t say enough about the staff. From the moment we arrived to our final night.. they took care of our family like family and honored guests. We look forward to our return next year. Thank you everyone on the staff for making us feel special!!

What can I say other than absolutely fabulous. I could see that this villa was something special from the photos, but it was everything and more. From the minute we landed to the minute we left, we were looked after. The owner suggested it would be our very own piece of paradise for our holiday and it certainly didn’t disappoint. Not only was the villa stunning inside and out, but all the staff were wonderful, extremely friendly, welcoming and very attentive. Huge thanks to Desi and Cissy for their hospitality while we were there, they certainly looked after us, and the food, all cooked to perfection. This was the most fabulous place. We will certainly be visiting again.

Not only this villa is amazing but so are the staff!! Desi and Cissy thank you for taking care of us , you guys are the best!!!! From the cuisine you prepared , keeping our rooms clean and organized , and keeping up with 7 crazy guests🤣. We like to commend Ketut too for always keeping in touch tending to our requests and Kedak our tour guide. How I wish we could stay longer because we so enjoy the vibe, the villa and Desi and Cisy Thank you sooo much and we hope we can come back sooner.

My husband and I, along with our two teenage daughters, enjoyed nearly a full week in paradise at Villa Aparna. The communication and warmth from the villa staff was beyond our expectations and when we were ready to leave, we felt like family. Notable staff were our driver Hutu, our housekeeper and cook, Desy and Coman. They took great care of us and made us feel so welcomed. We all fell in love with the villa, the staff, the local people, and the island. No doubt that we will return again!

This villa totally exceeded our expectations on all angles. It is a beautiful place with a great pool area and wonderful bedrooms. All the staff are perfect and offer a truly 5 star service. We had an exceptional stay in Villa Aparna : the villa is amazing! Even more spacious than on the photos. We were two couples with two kids and we could cohabit very easily. Every room has its own atmosphere.They're all so nice that it's difficult to choose one, two of them have an outside shower. The swimming pool is beautiful and very large so that we can easily swim. Our kids loved it! The garden and the outside areas are really lovely and luxuriant. Another great advantage of the villa is the immediate surrounding : we can see the fishermen on the beach and can easily visit the area with a scooter to feel the local life and the real Bali. Besides Lovina can be reached in 20 minutes. Last but not least : the staff ! The whole team was very caring for us and they are all so nice. Thank you Suda for your delicious meals and your cooking lessons, and your sense of humour. Thank you Desi for your kindness, Ketut and Comang for your efficiency in the tour organizations. We--a family of four with two teen-age daughters--had a wonderful stay at the villa. The villa is as beautiful as seen in the photos; perhaps even better as you realize how big it really is. Garden is well kept. Pool is nice with plenty of sun loungers and 2 floaties--one for adults, one for kids. Plenty of sitting areas, and space in general even for 8 people. Staff is amazing. Butler/Cook Nyoman and Housekeeper Desy were so eager to please their guests. There are four others who were just as friendly. They are all there to ensure their guests are well taken care of. Highly recommended for all travelers to the Lovina area.

« In april this year , we spent a week with our family at the APARNA villa located in north of Bali: an ideal place to discover an “other Bali” much closer to the old one compare to the south area ( Semyniak/Kuta…) in a wonderful environment totally safe. The villa has an exceptional situation with a luxuriant garden and large swimming pool with beach access, sea view. The rooms are spacious, charming in pure Balinese style tastefully decorated with all the comfort ( A/C, WIFI ….). The staff is amazing offering a good service. They take care about everything for you: - Want for a day of Scuba diving in Menjanan Island ? Diving instructors are coming to the villa to brief you and take care of you (even organizing the first dives for beginners in the swimming pool of the villa !) - Want to plan sightseeing visit in scooter? Rental bike shop will bring the scooter to you - Balinese Massage ? At the villa during the sun down on the beach….. If you are looking for calm while discover the North of Bali, APARNA’s villa is the place to stay comparable to best resort in South East Asia (Datai, Sixth Sense… but much more affordable) with in addition… a feeling of intimacy, being part of the island. To summarize, a little paradise’s place for one or two families to stay. “

Morning This was an incredible, beautiful, wonderful, amazing great place to stay!!!! The only negative that I can say about this villa is: we stayed too short! I really cannot say anything negative about this villa, The staff Suda, Desi, gardener and security was awesome. Wheelchair accessibility ; there is approximately five steps on the left hand side of the villa, the staff will be more than helpful if you do not have any assistance, I can recommend this Villa for a paraplegic but unfortunately not for a quadriplegic with out any assistance. If you do have assistance, book the Villa. It is well five steps down to go to the sea but again with the gigantic pool they got, it is also not necessary. The Villa is on level floor and there are no steps, except if you want to sleep in the second level room, then good luck Thanks again for the wonderful staff and the most rememberable time! We stayed one week last April in Villa aparna and we really wondered why we did not book for two! It was so hard for us to leave that we kept looking back when we had to walk to the car to ride back to the airport. The staff is extremely nice and always at your service. We really felt at home with them. The villa is awesome and what we loved the most is the seaview during breakfast, after a dive in the huge and lovely swimming pool. Deciding what would be our bedroom was tough but we finally opted for the second floor romantic white room. Night curtains, silent aircon and excellent mattress would take care of our sleep. Food made by Sudapta the cook was excellent and diversified, not too spicy. Great we could also pick-up some wines in the cellar (at market price by the way). We enjoyed the activities proposed by Ketut, the villa manager, such as dolphins watching, Menganjan snorkeling tour, sccoter tour in the villages around and even a fishing party which ended up with a fish BBQ on the beach organized by the staff for our dinner. Booking process was very smooth with Patricia, the owner. Defnitely a place to enjoy life and hopefully still genuine, unlike Kuta or Seminyak. We will promote villa Aparna around! Thank you.

This villa certainly lives up to expectations, the rooms are large well equipped, plenty of storage great bathrooms and all spotlessly clean. The gardens are beautiful and there is plenty of space for quiet moments. we stayed here with friends and the layout and size of the villa meant that we never felt on top of each other. Everything you could possible need provided including laundry. The staff are very helpful and obliging and the manager visited frequently and organized trips and restaurants for us. Highly recommend Buddha Bakery which is a short drive away for dinner, beautifully presented and cooked food at very reasonable prices. We also all took advantage of the spa treatments provided by Ammi and were highly delighted. We have all traveled extensively and felt this was one of the nicest villas we have ever stayed in.

We had the pleasure of staying at Villa Aparna for 3 weeks. Overall our stay was fabulous - the villa is absolutely gorgeous. The property is huge; easily large enough for two families. We were two couples and an infant and didn't use half the villa. Positives: - Beautiful and large property with an excellent layout for two families or multiple couples - Pleasant and helpful staff: Sudapta, the cook was wonderful and we ate almost all our meals at the villa. He would buy all our food every day from a local market including beverages and make runs to a local bakery for extremely reasonable prices. Patricia, the owner was extremely helpful and responsive before and during our stay. Ketut, the manager was also very prompt and helpful. I echo previous comments about having the massage services - the cost is essentially nothing and it's a perfect way to enjoy the upper balcony - Close to great snorkelling at Pemeturan Bay - Everything you could need at a very reasonable price - you don't need to leave the villa at all! And if you do, Ketut will arrange a driver for you to take you wherever you want to go (we spent three days in Ubud in the middle of our stay). Negatives: - You are EXTREMELY remote from the rest of Bali. There are really no options for restaurants or any sort of night life. We ate lunch out a couple times the only two restaurants we could find just to get out but there is nothing really to rave about. - The drive from the airport is long (3+ hrs) and with the crazy driving in Bali, it's extremely dangerous at night - we would caution anyone to make sure you do not drive at night. The driver we had was insane, making blind hairpin turns in the dark on mountain passes and we were all incredibly stressed by the time we arrived. We learned our lesson and made sure we never drove at night again and also asked Ketut for a more careful driver for the rest of our stay. - Although you are on the ocean, we found the water to be extremely dirty - garbage was floating over from Jakarta almost every day. It's too bad because the water temperature is really warm. - Bugs: you are in the jungle of course so you have to expect ants, mosquitoes (day and night) etc. The staff fumigate before new guests arrive but if, like us, you are staying for a long time (>1 week), I would ask them to fumigate halfway through your stay. We really felt all the "critters" encroaching after 10 days or so.

Our stay at Villa Aparna was wonderful. The house is very nicely decorated. I loved the bathroom the most but the bedrooms, outdoor area and garden were all beautiful and well kept.The location is just few steps away from the beach. The sand is very hot during the day and the shore is full of sharp rocks so make sure to bring swimming shoes with you. Once you walk few meters deep it's all nice without rocks. We were very surprised how warm the water was in the sea. There was an outdoor shower - great to remove all the sand our daughter was playing with at the beach. The swimming pool in the villa was huge and our daughter used it all the time while my husband was sitting inside a beautiful gazebo reading books and I was tanning on a lounge chair:) - we loved the outdoors so much that we did not turn TV on even once. The staff working at the villa was very friendly and nothing was ever a problem. Sudapta, the cook, always prepared what we asked for and also had good suggestions. Desi, the housekeeper, cleaned the house everyday and was also helping Sudapta. In the evening she was also preparing our bedrooms for the night. She was so sweet that our daughter really misses her now. Our driver - Gusti was very polite and very careful and we could learn a lot about Bali and culture just talking to him. The gardener and security guy were also very friendly and hard working. Patricia - the owner was always available by email and Ketut - the manager helped us to arrange all trips (I highly recommend dolphin watching) and stopped by few times to make sure all was ok. We also had a massages done few times - the villa has a beautiful balcony with a massage bed and it was very cheap so I highly recommend to book an appointment with Amy or her lovely sister. The only minus is the ride from the airport to the villa - 3.5 hours on very narrow and curvy road. Make sure to be prepared for that. But once you are there nothing matters because you are in paradise. The North part of the island is the place to go if you want to experience real Bali and villa Aparna is the place to stay there. Would love to go back there one day.

It is hard to find the right words to explain what you feel when you stay at Villa Aparna. Stunning, amazing, wonderful, a dream...all this comes in our mind. And it is probably a mix of all those words:-) It was the perfect location for relaxing and enjoyment for my wife and myself. The villa is more than well equipped and very luxurious furnished. And all this comes with a wonderful and kind team: a very good cook (Sudapta) , a lovely house maid (Dessi) and a very helpful villa manager (Ketut and his assistant). They fully make everything to make your stay perfect - and they succeeded with our stay:-) I highly recommend Villa Aparna - I would even say it is a must to go there and experience the atmosphere. Indeed a luxurious and extravagant oceanfront villa we have had the pleasure of staying for a week. It was large but beautifully constructed. The wooden furnitures and designs were priceless. We had good times staying in the upper deck at night with the tropical view and over it is the beach. Big and inviting pool. Sizable rooms with a lovely view outside. The staff felt like family too. I noticed one of your reviewers saying it was the best vacation he had ever had with his family. This is exactly the same thing I've been saying since I returned from Bali. Firstly the house. Large, comfortable and beautifully appointed. Our family spent days lazing in and by the pool. Everywhere you look is simply stunning. Bedrooms and bathrooms are gorgeous, outdoor indoor showers in two of the rooms. Service was impeccable from Sudapta and Desi (our cook and housekeeper). We also had a security guard at night and a gardner during the day. Little things like a local phone supplied with the manager's number so we could contact him at any time whenever we needed anything was a great touch. Activities which Ketut (the manager) organised for us included a sightseeing shopping tour, snorkeling (magnificent) and dolphin watching on an outrigger. I would recommend this for a family or a group of friends absolutely. You will have a beautiful stay, eat well and be very well looked after.

Even for those like me who've been several times in Bali and tried a few villas, this place is really fantastic. From the moment the front gate open until all the way through the gardens, visiting the villa, and up to the sea, the impression is magic. We only stayed 4 days in the villa but we did have time to enjoy many of the greatness of the place. From smimming in a huge pool to sailing amongst the Dolphins, through relaxing massages and great local cuisine. I actually would not want to share too much of the many things as part of the pleasure is in the discovery. The quality of the staff is one good example. One last thing is that the place is also great if you have kids. There's plenty of space for them to play and have fun. I fell in love with Aparna. Rod G. Singapore

I did have an outstanding week at villa Aparna. An elegant and stylish villa was awaiting me when I arrived on March 4. Inside, the bedrooms are beautifully decorated with a Balinese spirit and so cozy. The air com was working perfectly and was very quiet. It is not always the case everywhere and that can be a big issue in such a tropical climate. The outside swimming pool is stunning with a very serene atmosphere. The garden is a true delight for the eyes. As far as the food was concerned, I had the opportunity to taste everyday great Balinese specialties and nice European food with, in the evening, some wine at a reasonable price. What a dream to have in the morning my breakfast, my scrambles eggs and a good Balinese Coffee with the blue of the sea just above my eyes! I could feel everywhere a big attention given to details and the dedication of all the staff (Manager, cook, cleaning lady...) to make my trip very special and fulfill my needs. Music, movies, internet, books, massages (highly recommended) were available. Everything and everybody in the property made me feel so well and relaxed. When I managed to escape from Aparna, I enjoyed authentic North Bali countryside with its small villages, its beautiful rice fields and charming people. Since I came back, I have already recommended Aparna to many of my friends and acquaintance. I will go back, that is for sure and hopefully very soon. Christine Leleux

We came back yesterday night after spending one full week at Villa Aparna Bali. It was one of the best vacations we ever had. The Villa and the facilities are awesome! The rooms are quite spacious and airy, the pool is just out of the world!. The garden is quite big and gives a feeling of freshness all the time. The location is absolutely wonderful. The sea view is the best one can imagine! The staffs are highly hospitable. We were 2 families with kids and all of us enjoyed every moment of our stay there. My best ever vacation with family

This was my first trip to Bali and my primary purpose was to have some peaceful and private time with family. I was told that north Bali is a good location and far from the hustle and bustle of the south part. We are just back after a 1 week stay in the villa. We were 2 families totaling 6 members. It was quite a blissful experience. I have no words to express the feeling that you get when you get up in the morning. The wide sea view and the long private pool is simply majestic. The villa is very spacious and has large bedrooms and living area. The dining table is arranged right beside the pool. There is a huge land area surrounding the villa with very well groomed garden. The staff members are very well mannered and at your service. There is a cook, care taker, gardener, security guard and a villa manager. The villa manager is quite good in organizing your local tour programs. There is a menu with some standard selection of wine, salads, pastas and some local dishes. If you need some specific food then the cook will assist you. We have been to some attractions in the nearby area. We have enjoyed the dolphin watch ( for that you have to get up in the early morning) near the Lovina beach area, Git Git and Manduk waterfalls, dip in the hot spring etc.. Overall we are extremely satisfied with the experience.
