We had a wonderful week in the dovecote! Everything was perfect, the rooms were beautifully decorated, we didn't need a thing-everything was there for us and it was cosy and comfortable.The setting in the garden of Yves and Michelle was stunning and it was like living in a fairytale setting . Yves and Michelle couldn't have been more friendly and helpful, helping to set the log stove with a cosy fire on a chilly evening and altering the seats on their bicycles so we could borrow them for the short cycle into the centre of Offranville.Tintin the donkey was a great addition-he was very friendly and he loved a stroke and many many carrots. We had such a fantastic time-I can't recommend it enough.

Offranville is a beautiful village. With the house just a short walk to the supermarket which has everything you need, as well as its own Michelin star restaurant. Dieppe is only a ten minute drive with fantastic seafood restaurants. The house itself was impeccably clean. The bed comfy, the shower excellent, with great facilities such as washing machine, dryer and dishwasher. Surrounding the property is the most wonderfully relaxing gardens with an everyday visit from the neighbour, an inquisitive donkey who would see what we were up to. Our hosts were welcoming and friendly. This holiday has kick started our adventures for more times in France to come!

Very cosy and completly equipped special house! Nothing was missing! The tower and the garden is beautifully maintained by the owners . There is space for your bicycles and there is a BBQ. Lots of supermarkets in the near surroundings! The local weekly Saturday market in Dieppe provides all the specialities which you look forward to in the Normandy! The owers are very friendly and charming. ( if only my french was better!) . We will love to come back!

Wonderful stay

Wonderful stay

Our family of 4 (2 teenagers) stayed for a week at this beautiful dovecote in Offranville. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The house has everything you could need. With heated floors on the ground floor and a fireplace, the evenings where very cozy. The gardens around the house are a credit to the owners as they’ve put a lot of time and care into them. The dovecote is at the edge of town but close enough to the bakery and shops that we walked there each day for fresh croissants. We visited a few places on the Alabaster Coast but our favorite was Veules-Les-Roses. We also visited Rouen which was around 45 minutes drive away and would recommend a day in this beautiful city. All in all, a wonderful place to stay and spend a week or two exploring the Normandy coast.

An Idyllic Stay in Normandy

We just spent a delightful 2 weeks in the lovely dovecote and gardens of M. and Mme. Bouquet. They were the perfect hosts, even providing some food provisions upon our arrival after the overnight flight from the US and drive from CDG airport. The dovecote has been beautifully restored and everything is supplied that you could need for housekeeping. To top it off, there is a winsome donkey named Tintin who comes by the dovecote daily for his carrot treat. The town of Offranville is charming and has all the essential shops including a Carrefour supermarket. And there is a Michelin star restaurant, Le Colombier, that is just a short walk down the lane from the dovecote! (Reserve early). You can also get to the restaurants in Dieppe Centre in only 15 - 20 minutes. There is plenty to see and do on the Alabaster coast and Pays de Caux. In fact, we didn't get it all done in 2 weeks so we will be coming back to stay at the dovecote again.

An absolute gem!!!

An absolute gem!!!

This property delivers everything it says and more. The building has been sympathetically restored and it has everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. We spent a week here enjoying the countryside but were able to walk / cycle (bikes provided for your use) to the bakers, supermarket and local eateries. Most days we ate at least one meal outside, the garden is private and is your own place to relax. There are numerous excellent restaurants within 10 minutes drive and the historic town of Dieppe is only 20 minutes away. We are a family of 4, two girls, 12 and 13, they loved it too, so much so they have asked if we can go back again. In an age where children are so hard to please I think this speaks volumes. Don’t take our word for it book your holiday now you won’t be disappointed. We will be returning.

Spectacular

As an Architect I selected the Le Colombier because I have a fondness for the adaptive reuse of historic structures. Yves and Michele has done a wonderful job as they repurposed this dovecote into a truly spectacular cottage. It has everything necessary for an enjoyable experience. It blends beautifully with the adjacent pond and flower gardens and just exudes serenity. The Town of Offranville has anything you need from a complete market to an excellent restaurant also named Le Colombier. It serves as a good base for exploring Normandy especially if you have a car at your disposal and are not afraid to drive for and hour and a half to two hours. Yves and Michele made us feel right at home and are warm and friendly hosts. They take obvious and well-deserved pride in their accomplishment.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful dovecote, set in lovely, well maintained gardens, it was very well equipped and clean throughout. The owners were very welcoming and obliging. Positioned well to explore the Normandy coastline, with good restaurants. Also walking distance to local shops and supermarket. Our family of four would thoroughly recommend. My husband, daughter and myself recently had the good fortune to stay at Le Colombier. It is a beautiful yet comfortable place to stay, and very unique. My daughter loved the fact that she was sleeping at the top of a tower! The village is very peaceful, however there are many amenities close by which is useful. It is a very good location for exploring the local coastline as the sea is only 4kms away, and the local area is filled with beautiful villages, lovely beaches and interesting places to visit. We had a lovely time!

Sehr schönes Grundstück, der Turm ist sehr hübsch. Wir hatten gutes Wetter, bei Regen wäre es sicher im Haus weniger schön gewesen, da es - dem Charakter des Gebäudes - recht dunkel und kühl ist. Aber das sollte man vorher auf dem Schirm haben. Die Gastgeber sind sehr nett und zuvorkommend.

Ausschlaggebend für unser Urlaubsziel war der Taubenschlag in Offranville und wir wurden nicht enttäuscht. Der Alte Taubenschlag wurde zu einem wunderschönen Ferienhaus ausgebaut, in dem es an nichts fehlt. Die Eigentümer, Michelle und Yves haben die Unterkunft mit viel Liebe zum Detail ausgestattet. Die Schlafzimmer haben viel Charme, das Wohnzimmer mit offener Küche bietet viel Platz und der Garten ist ein Traum. Wir wurden sehr herzlich empfangen. Wir können die Unterkunft uneingeschränkt für einen Urlaub an der Alabaster Küste empfehlen. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder

Die Gastgeber sind super freundlich und zuvorkommend. Sehr kinderfreundlich. Der Esel war der beste Freund vom Kind. Eine hochwertige Ausstattung mit vielfältigen Kochmöglichkeiten, tollem Kamin und gemütlichem Ambiente. Der Ort ist wirklich ideal: Supermarkt auch am Wochenende geöffnet, leckere Patisserien, Fischhandler etc. Ein perfekter Ausgangspunkt für viele schöne Ausflüge..... Merci!!! Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt in dem einzigrtigen Taubenschlag sehr genossen! Das Ferienhaus ist stilvoll eingerichtet, sehr sauber und gut ausgestattet. Der parkähnliche Garten ist wunderschön. Die Einkaufsmöglichkeiten des Städtchens Offranville (u.a. sehr guten Patisserie/Bäcker und ein Supermarkt) sind problemlos zu Fuß erreichbar. Auch die Vermieter sind sehr nett. Perfekt für einen erholsamen Urlaub in der Normandie und sehr empfehlenswert! We have enjoyed our stay in the unique dovecote very much! The cottage is stylishly furnished, very clean and well equipped. The park-like garden is beautiful. The shopping facilities of the small town of Offranville (including very good patisserie / bakery and a supermarket) are within easy walking distance. The landlords are also very nice. Perfect for a relaxing vacation in Normandy and highly recommended!

Wir waren wirklich überwältigt von dieser Urlaubsunterkunft. Wie schön, dass es solche Objekte noch gibt, die jenseits des Mainstreams gestaltet sind. Nicht nur der riesengroße Garten um den Turm war traumhaft und mit so viel Liebe gepflegt, auch das Innere war geschmackvollen und mit vielen Details eingerichtet. Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Wir hatten die Bilder des Turms in der Anzeige gesehen und uns so schnell wie noch nie für das Objekt entschieden. Als wir dort ankamen, wurde unser Eindruck weit übertroffen. Eine super gepflegte, parkähnliche Gartenanlage in der der Turm aus dem 16. Jahrhundert steht. Der Turm ist stilvoll und hochwertig eingerichtet und hat als Highlight einen funktionsfähigen Kamin im Wohnraum. Es ist alles da, was wir für unseren 14-tägigen Urlaub brauchten, um uns wohl zu fühlen. Alles ist sehr sauber und gepflegt. Die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und unterstützen gerne mit Tips und Ratschlägen zu Ausflügen, Gastronomie und Sehenswürdigkeiten. Für uns war das Wohlfühlen, Entspannung und Erholung ab dem ersten Tag. Von daher top Tip und top Empfehlung und gerne wieder in dieses idyllische Paradies.

Eine der tollsten Ferienwohnungen, die wir jemals gebucht haben: Wunderschönes Ambiente in Form eines parkartigen Gartens drumherum. Innen liebevoll und gemütlich eingerichtet. Séjour exceptionnel dans un magnifique colombier aménagé avec beaucoup de goût entouré d'un jardin grandiose . Endroit calme proche de la mer accessible à vélo par pistes cyclables (vélo route du lin). L'accueil, la serviabilité et la gentillesse des propriétaires sont à l'image de leur gîte. L'âne tintin qui broute paisiblement dans le pré voisin apporte une touche de romantisme dans ce cadre de verdure. La situation de Offranville permet de nombreuses découvertes aussi bien des plages environnantes que la campagne. Séjour exceptionnel,nous reviendrons et conseillons vivement cet endroit magique. Sowohl das Haus, der Garten und die Lage haben keine Wünsche offen gelassen. Turm schön kühl bei Hitze, der Garten ist top und Einkaufsgelegenheiten sind mit dem Fahrrad schnell zu erreichen. Bei Sonne ist der Strand in 10 min mit dem Auto erreichbar und auch bei Ebbe gut für Kinder geeignet (Gezeiten beachten-bei Flut weniger gut). Wir würden wieder kommen...

Wir sind schon das dritte Mal in diesem hübschen Taubenturm und jeder Aufenthalt war ein Erlebnis. Das Haus, der Garten, ein Esel, der auf der benachbarten Wiese steht, der gepflegte kleine Weiher und der gemütliche Kamin, der abends angezündet wird - wir haben das alles sehr genossen. Die Eigentümer haben es geschafft, dieses Domizil geschmackvoll und romantisch, aber auch mit den Vorzügen eines modernen Haushalts einzurichten. Mit den Fahrrädern, die zur Verfügung stehen, kann man ausgedehnte Touren an der Küsten der Normandie unternehmen. Die Eigentümer sind sehr nett und gastfreundlich.
