This is a delightful, very well equipped property, set in over 2 acres, giving plenty of space to relax. Pierre is the perfect host. With a tennis court and areas to play volleyball, petanque and football if you wish, keeping active is easy and convenient. It's a short cycle or walk to the bakery, with easy access to the nearest supermarket. There are several lovely countryside walks to enjoy and numerous pretty villages and towns to visit within easy reach by car. Travelling from the UK could not be simpler as the location is only some 4 hours from Calais.

We have had a great time in this house. The owner is honest and kind. The property is clean and in a safe neighborhood. Ground floor is air-conditioned. First floor is not and usually it is okay unless there is an unexpected heat wave like what we have had. Our kids enjoyed playing close to the river and feeding hens and ducks. The town has no mobile net and It was difficult for us to get to the property easily. I was not given the exact location of the property in advance. Upon check in we were told that utility is not inclusive. The owner would calculate how much did we consume then we have to pay for electricity. In addition, cleaning fees (40 euros) didn't include the cleaning of towels. The owner would calculate how many towel did I use then charge me 4 euro for each towel as an additional cleaning fee. In summary, we enjoyed our stay and I recommend this property for those who would like to have a quite and safe place in country-side.

Everything we needed for our holiday, in terms of setting, equipment, help and advice from the owner and lovely grounds to explore and enjoy. We had a relaxing week here, enjoying the peace and quiet, making friends with the neighbours (lovely German family in the next door property, plus free-range chickens and ducks in the grounds!), trying out the boat on the river, exploring the local area (with really helpful advice from Pierre), visiting Paris for the day by train - what more could we want from a week away?

A lovely property in a lovely rural area.

Our family of fived stayed in this property for one week. It was clean, tidy and in a lovely location. The children (aged 14, 13 and 9) loved the very large gardens and playing in the small river. Whilst in a very rural location the property is conveniently located for a day trip into paris via train. There is also plenty to explore in the local area including forests, castles and lakes for swimming. Overall we had a lovely time and felt very welcomed by our host.

I was traveling for work in France and like to avoid generic hotels. This cottage was perfect. It's in the most beautiful setting complete with sheep and chickens though neither make noise to keep you awake ;-) The cottage was really clean, spacious and well appropriated with everything I needed. The location is easily accessible with beautiful drives connecting the nearby villages. The host, Pierre, was extremely gracious and attentive and went out of his way to make sure that I had a wonderful experience. I would definitely recommend this cottage.

Sehr freundliche und hilfsbereite, aber nie aufdringliche Vermieter. Für Kinder auch wegen des parkähnlichen Gartens sehr gut geeignet, nur bei den Kleinsten muss man wegen des Bachs (Highlight Ruderboot!) vielleicht etwas aufpassen. Zum Grundstück gehören drei Wohnungen, Privatsphäre ist aber gewährleistet.

Nous avons apprécié le confort du gîte (très bien équipé niveau électroménager notamment) ainsi que son immense jardin qui offre un cadre très agréable et reposant. Un petit bout de campagne comme on les aime. Superbe séjour dans une maison très agréable, bien équipée et proche de toutes commodités. Cette belle propriété est très bien entretenue et il y fait bon vivre. Les espaces extérieurs sont parfaits, particulièrement avec des enfants. Il y a tout ce qui faut pour s’amuser tennis , volley , foot, petanque, sans oublier le ruisseau et d’autres surprises... Ce lieu regorge de charme pour le plus grand plaisir des petits et des grands.... Un petit mot pour l’accueil. Pierre et Monique sont des hôtes vraiment charmants et très attentionnés. Nous sommes ravis d’avoir fait leur connaissance. Nous reviendrons c’est promis.

Une jolie petite maison dans ne magnifique propriété. La propriété est constituée de 3 maisons, nous étions dans la plus petite, parfaite pour une famille de 4 ou 5 personnes. Les propriétaires sont extrêmement attentifs à leurs hôtes. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour.

Für uns (Familie mit 2 Kindern) war die Lage der Ferienwohnung Perfekt. Speziell die Kinder haben sich immer darauf gefreut Nachmittags noch ein bisschen Tennis zu spielen, aber vor allem die tollen Tips von Pierre, wie Chateau de Vaux-le-Vicomte (anstatt Versais), Chateau de Blandy-les-tours oder auch Moret sur-Loing...haben uns sehr geholfen unseren Aufenthalt toll zu gestallten. Vielen Dank dafür noch mal an Pierre .

Bis auf einen leichten Schmierfilm auf den Küchenutensilien war alles sehr sauber, funktionsfähig und gepflegt. Der Vermieter war sehr nett, hilfsbereit und zuverlässig. Besonders gefreut haben sich die Kinder über den Nachwuchs der Hausenten. Ein sehr schönes Domizil.

Sehr schöne und gepflegte Ferienwohnung in großzügiger Gartenanlage. Der Vermieter ist sehr freundlich und erkundigt sich regelmäßig nach dem Wohlbefinden ohne dabei aufdringlich zu sein. Zur Begrüssung wurden Eier von den eigenen Hühner (die sich frei auf dem Grundstück bewegten) geschenkt. Es wurden gleichfalls Insidertips für Attraktionen in der Region vermittelt. Die Männerrunde bestehend aus Vater mit zwei Söhnen hat sich sehr wohl gefühlt und wird gerne wiederkommen.

We hebben een buitengewoon prettig verblijf gehad in Paley. Een ruime woning, van alle gemakken voorzien. Heel grote tuin, wat bij mooi weer erg leuk is. De kippen die daarin rondliepen waren een dagelijks uitje voor de kinderen. De eigenaar, Pierre Vergnet, is goed bereikbaar, vriendelijk en behulpzaam.

Charming modern gîte with a beautiful garden and tennis court at a pleasant and quiet location

What a wonderful place to spend our summer holidays! We booked Gîte De l'Orvanne, which is the smaller of the two gîtes under the same roof, and stayed there for two weeks. Pierre made us feel very welcome at our arrival and was happy to advise us at any time with tips for excursions and restaurants. The gîte is nice and clean and very comfortable. It is a charming 200 year old farm that has been modernized completely in a tasteful modern style. It has modern equipment like basin mixer taps, a Nespresso coffee maker, satellite tv and a washing machine. We will surely remember the beautiful garden. It is exceptionally large and has an interesting variety of trees. Throughout the day the garden offered lots of nice sunny and shadowy spots. The garden is bordered by the Lunain river -- we really enjoyed rowing the boat that is available to the guests of both gîtes. We also spent a lot of time on the private tennis court. Paris is just over an hour's drive away (90 km). We also enjoyed visiting the towns of Fontainebleau (30 km) and Sens (40 km), the palace of Vaux-le-Vicomte (50 km), Provins (60 km) and the Parc des Félins (70 km). There is very little to do in the village of Paley itself, except perhaps some nice walking trails, but there is plenty of beautiful nature in the surroundings. We would certainly recommend Gîte De l'Orvanne to anyone looking for a relaxing and comfortable stay in France.

Séjour au calme en pleine nature au cœur d'une magnifique propriété. Un accueil chaleureux des propriétaires préoccupés par le bien être de leurs hôtes. Une maison très agréable, confortable et décorée avec goût. De plus le gîte est très bien situé pour d'agréable visites ou promenades. Nous retournons rarement deux fois au même endroit mais pensons déjà à un autre séjour l'année prochaine

Leuke, goed uitgeruste vakantiewoning met grote tuin. Ideaal voor kinderen om te spelen. Heel aardige, service gerichte eigenaars, Martine en Pierre. Mooie omgeving waar vooral de ruimte opvalt. Je hebt niet het idee, dat je maar 1.15uur verwijderd bent van Paris. Er is ruimte en rust. Dichtsbijzijnde leuke stad is Fontainebleau.

La propriété est grande et spacieuse. On y accède de plein pied. L'espace de verdure est immense avec un ruisseau au bout de la propriété. C'est très calme. L'accueil est très chaleureux. Le propriétaire se met en "quatre" pour vous être agréable. Il vous offre un cadeau de bienvenue. Il est toujours à votre disposition. Il vous conseille sur les restaurants à proximité. Nous en avons testé deux excellents. Séjour agréable. J'étais avec mon père de 92 ans qui a beaucoup apprécié. A recommander

Les Gros Ormes ist ein kleines, sympathisches und ruhiges Dorf. Das Anwesen ist ein sehr schöner Park, wo man die Seele baumeln lassen kann. Es fließt ein kleiner Fluss, die Le Lunain, am Rande des Grundstücks. Am Ufer ist eine kleine Terasse, auf der der Morgenkaffee besonders gut schmeckt. Der Tennisplatz ist für Hobby-Tennis geeignet. Boule und Volleyball zu spielen ist ebenfalls möglich. Die Vermieter sind super freundlich und zuvorkommend. Tennisschläger, Boulespiel und Bälle wurden gerne verliehen. Wir waren zum ersten Mal in der Region und haben durch unsere Vermieter Pierre und Monique richtig gute,einheimische Tipps für die Klettergebiete und weitere touristischen Aktivitäten bekommen, inkl. Informationsmaterial und Karten. Das moderne und lichtdurchflutete Ferienhaus ist toll aufgebaut, die Küche vollständig eingerichtet, inkl. Spül- und Waschmaschine. Im Nachbarort Lorrez-le-Bocage-Préaux gibt es gute Einkaufsmöglichkeiten (der Supermarkt und die Bäckerei sind extrem gut sortiert). Die umliegenden Städte Nemours, Fountainbleau und Moret (jeweils mit Bahnanschluss nach Paris....) bieten ein tolles Ambiente, Chateaus, stets freundliche Menschen und vieles mehr. Für alle Boulderer: Alle Klettergebiete sind mit dem Auto von hier aus gut erreichbar. Pierre vermietet auf Wunsch zudem ein großes Crashpad. Uns fünf hat der Urlaub sehr gefallen und werden wieder dorthin zurückkommen!
