A very enjoyable last minute "local" break

Location good, with on-site fitness, sauna & wellness and close to edge-of-town wooded area with many paths and tracks for walking. Staff friendly and helpful. Food in restaurant of good quality and well-presented.

Breakfast buffet was good, but there were one or two "gaps" in the selection offered - for example, as I'm trying to avoid eating bread, I prefer "Knäckebrot" (none was offered) and "Kräuterquark" would also have been a welcome addition, but clearly, this is "complaining" at a very high level ! ;-)

Uncomfortable

The room was lovely. The bathroom facilities, both bath and shower were amazing. The lady who checked us in was lovely and the lady who served us our meal made every effort to make us feel comfortable. When we first entered the restaurant the stares from the restaurant staff were blatant and it made myself and my partner feel uncomfortable. Please refer to what I didn’t like about the property to fully understand why we felt as we did.

The female who took our dinner reservation made us feel so uncomfortable, I would never stay at that hotel again. My partner has a goatee and 2 piercings beneath his lower lip and I am black and it was quite obvious, even to Stevie Wonder, that she couldn’t interact with us. It was incredibly difficult to remain polite. People such as this female should not be working with the public if she cannot handle someone who is different to her.

Nice hotel but the room was incredibly overpriced and not adequate

We had a nice bathroom. Spacious and a good shower. Also, it was possible to buy a take away lunch meal. I could choose what I wanted in it. Not too expensive either. In May 2022 for 7,50 euro.

We got room 302. An awful room for 140 euro's per night! There was a kitchen unit on one wall, next to the bed. Why?! It wasn't even functioning and not my idea of a cosy room. Even worse, my husband hit his head on the ceiling if he got out of bed. My husband is only 5 feet, 9 inches (1,75 meters)! The ceiling was sloping from normal height till 1 meter of the ground. And the bed was positioned under it. In the room was no sitting area. Only one seat. And worst of all, it was a dark room because of the small windows. I asked for another room because we stayed there for 4 nights. They wouldn't accomodate us. Said they were fully booked. Strange that until the last day (Saturday) we saw almost no: cars parked, no people at breakfast or dinner, no people on their balconies, in short almost no people at all. They said we should have taken a more expensive room if we wanted a better one. A grumpy manager (or owner?) said no to our request immediately when the nice lady at the reception asked her.

De locatie.

Nadat wij de hotelkamer hebben betreden, kwamen wij erachter dat er geen fles water op de kamer stond. Er was ook geen waterkoker. Voor een hotel met 4 sterren wel een aderlating. Voor drinken kun je alleen terecht bij een automaat op een andere verdieping. In de badkamer hangt een bord dat de handdoeken na 3 dagen worden verschoond. Ook de kamers worden niet verschoond in tussen. Prijs tov kwaliteit, viel tegen.

Betten hätten etwas länger sein können (bin fast 1,9m). Die Dachschräge im Zimmer war etwas störend. Nachtisch fehlte.
