It is in a hilly landscape which is said to be a corner of Switzerland lost under the sky of Provence, nestled at the foot of Dormillouse [2500m], draped in a forest of deciduous and coniferous trees and on the two slopes of which are spread out the two ski areas that you will find the Montclar station, with the aspect at the same time harmonious and typically mountainous.

SKI AREA IMPROVEMENT
Installation of a new detachable 6-seater chairlift that connects the base of the station (1350 m) to the top of the plateau (2350 m) in just 8 minutes.
To improve your skiing conditions, the resort extends its network of artificial snow to the Chau plateau at 2000 m.
It will now be possible to descend from the top of the plateau to the station on a completely artificial snow-covered run.
Two collinear reservoirs have also been created in order to retain water and supply the artificial snow network.
ARTIFICIAL RINK WITH OPEN SKY.
In the heart of the resort, for a moment of relaxation with family or friends.

Piou-Piou club (from 3 to 5 years old) for the first steps of your toddlers, the ESF offers 2 hours of lessons suitable for toddlers. So that you can enjoy your day, we can drop your child off at the crèche after the lesson.

Nous avons séjournés 2 semaines fin juin début juillet dans cette charmante location. - La location : L’appartement est situé au rez-de-chaussée d’une belle maison récente. Il est tout équipé : lit double, canapé convertible, lave-linge, lave-vaisselle, sèche serviette, chaînes de la TNT, chauffage avec thermostat… Il y a même un lecteur DVD ! Très bien entretenu, l’appartement est comme neuf et très propre. Après un long trajet, c’est agréable de pouvoir poser ses valises en arrivant sans avoir à tout récurer comme c’est malheureusement parfois le cas ! Un jardin privatif est également mis à notre disposition avec un salon de jardin, 2 chaises longues, un terrain de pétanque et un barbecue. Bref, on est comme chez soi ! - La station de Saint Jean de Montclar : L’appartement est idéalement situé à l’entrée de la station, ce qui fait qu’on en est tout proche pour y aller à pied, tout en étant un minimum à l’écart pour ne pas être dérangé par les voitures. La station est agréable avec l’essentiel en petits commerces (boulangerie, restaurants, supérette, maison de pays). Station de ski l’hiver, elle n’en est pas moins vivante l’été ! Des circuits de randonnées démarrent au pied de la station. Les restaurants sont ouverts, des animations sont organisées telles le festival de country. Bref, ce n’est pas une station « fantôme » comme on peut en voir parfois l’été. Notre conseil : si vous souhaitez passer une agréable soirée avec un accueil très chaleureux et une cuisine soignée, vous pouvez aller au restaurant de l’hôtel Le Saint-Jean situé au bout de la station. Nous y sommes allés à 2 reprises durant notre séjour :-) - La région : La vallée de la blanche est une très belle région, à mi chemin entre Gap, Digne et Barcelonnette. Près du lac de Serre-Ponçon pour ceux qui aiment se baigner ou profiter de la chaleur, au cœur des montagnes pour ceux qui apprécient les randonnées et un peu plus d’air. Notre conseil : pour les randonnées, ne manquez pas la Dormillouse qui domine la station ou le pic du Morgon qui domine le lac (magnifique cirque avec des marmottes). A partir de la station du Super-Sauze, au Sud-Est de Barcelonnette, vous pouvez faire le chapeau de gendarme (nous avons pu observer des bouquetins). Remerciements à notre sympathique hôte qui nous a chaleureusement accueilli en début de séjour pour nous présenter la location et s’est ensuite éclipsé pour nous laisser tranquilles jusqu’à notre départ.
