About this chalet rental

A prime location on a south-facing slope, with a view of the village of Vagney (altitude 400m).
Our village is located at the crossroads of the areas of Gérardmer, La Bresse and Ventron, 15 minutes from Lake Gérardmer, 20 minutes from Lake Xonrupt-Longemer and those of La Bresse.
You can enjoy a rural environment, in peace without being isolated.
We are 3 km from the village center, and all its shops including a shopping center, a cinema and its municipal swimming pool. Our cottage, easy to access, and very well plowed.
(Vagney and its surrounding hamlets give access to 200 km of paths marked out by the Vosges club between altitudes 400 and 1100 meters with many panoramic views, including 2 paragliding sites)

We had an excellent stay in this charming cottage in the Vosges. The cottage was very cozy and the view to the valley excellent. Many thanks to Antonia and Bruno who were excellent hosts with great tips about the area and cycling routes to take and on top of that just having nice chats about the good things in life. We used the cottage as 'base camp' for some great cycling in the area.

We loved our 3 day stay! The wooden details in the house are amazing. And everything that is said in earlier reviews is true. The owners are very kind, it is very clean. The only negative point, if you have to mention anything, is the road in the valley you hear. The deer in the evening are stunning, the terraces around the home very nice. The well maintained home and surroundings are great. Even the WiFi worked very well. We had a perfect start of our holiday! Thank you Antonia and Bruno!

Inside is super cozy. Great field at the front for kids to run around in. I felt so refreshed from the holiday. Walks / trail runs from the house are splendid. For two people the house is perfect. And there was another room/space with two extra beds. You have to be lucky with the weather as the Vosges are referred to as the rainiest part of France. For us it was OK, but an average of 16 °C isn’t great in the summer.

That was an extraordinary weekend spent at Bruno and Antonia’s house. The place is perfect, the view is fabulous, the decoration is typical and the hosts are super nice and very welcoming. You can enjoy a breakfast or barbecue on the terrace; sunset and sunrise included :) nearby La Bresse and Vagney it is easy to find the chalet. The calmness of the location is ressourcing. A place to definitely visit!

Leuk huisje met prachtig uitzicht in mooie omgeving

Leuk huisje gelegen op een berghelling. De top van deze berg is ruim 400 meter hoger dan het dal en heeft een prachtig panorama. Het huisje ligt 100 meter boven het dal. Je kunt hier mooie wandelingen en fietstochten maken. Dat gaat natuurlijk wel continu bergop en bergaf. Het huisje ligt aan een grote wei. Er zijn twee overdekte terrassen. Je kijkt uit over Vagney en de heuvels daarachter. Erg mooi. Er komt hier zelden iemand voorbij. Helemaal stil is het hier echter toch nooit, want je de kunt de autoweg door het dal best goed horen op de achtergrond. De eigenaars, die in het huis er vlak naast wonen met 3 katten en een hond, zijn aardig en vertellen graag over de omgeving e.d. Je moet wel zelf beddengoed e.d. van thuis meenemen en zelf de eindschoonmaak doen (of 30 euro extra betalen). Je zult in het huisje af en toe je hoofd stoten tenzij je kleiner bent dan 1 meter 60 of tenzij je in staat bent nooit te vergeten dat de doorgangen tussen de ruimtes heel laag zijn.

Het was prachtig om vanuit het vakantiehuis en dan vooral vanaf de terrassen, het dal in te kijken met het dorp Vagney in de verte. De stilte van de plek was aangenaam. Het huis is ook heel sfeervol. Tip: stoelen aan hoge tafel misschien vervangen door stoelen met beter zitcomfort. Heel mooi fiets - en wandelgebied . De gastvrouw en gastheer waren erg vriendelijk en toegankelijk!

Parfait moment dans ce petit chalet en bois très agréable avec tout ce qu’il faut pour passer un bon moment: en terme de cuisine, chambres, douche,…. Et très bien situé. Accueil sympa de Bruno, endroit magnifique et chaleureux à la lisière de forêts de sapins et au pied de balades/randonnées. Le chalet a aussi une terrasse sur laquelle nous avons apprécié déjeuner et prendre l’apéro, appréciable avec la vue sur la verdure. Ne passez pas à côté de ce petit coin !

Nous sommes ravis mes enfants et moi de notre séjour au gîte d’Antonia et Bruno. Au delà de la gentillesse et de la discrétion des hôtes, le gîte est agréable et très chaleureux. Très propre aussi et dans un cadre forestier magique pour ceux qui cherche à sortir de la folie urbaine… proximité des commerces malgré tout, ce qui complete aussi ce qui complète la qualité de notre expérience.
