About this house rental
Our old stone house with a lauze roof of 130m2 is in the center of the listed hamlet of Vignale, in Canari (located between Nonza and Centuri), in a breathtaking natural site located 300 meters above sea level. It offers three magnificent terraces (20, 12, 8 m2) with 180 ° panoramic views of the sea and the daily spectacle of the sunset in front of you. The interior has just been completely refurbished in a sleek contemporary style while retaining the old charm of the house (polished concrete on the ground floor, old oiled floors on the first floor). Fully equipped kitchen (dishes, freezer + washing machine). A large living room and a small summer living room. Two very large bedrooms with sea view, plus 1 small bedroom. 1 marble bathroom with bath and shower, 1 bathroom with polished concrete shower. Vintage furniture (1930s and 1950s) and contemporary designer furniture; Fermob garden furniture. Near the house, large terraced land with old dry stone walls and magnificent umbrella pine.
The intimate marine of Scala (Marinca) is accessible on foot (30 minutes on foot) or by car. The superb beaches of Albo and Giottani are around 10 minutes by car. The village of Canari has two grocery stores, 1 bakery, 1 butcher, a nice bar with snacks, 2 famous restaurants (Le Bon Clocher, Le Chat qui Pêche).

This was our second stay here, and hopefully not the last. That says it all.
This is a lovely property in a quiet village au bout du monde. Lots of walks through abandoned hameaux and along scenic roads.

Canari is a lovely, pretty nest located a few hundred meters above sea level and has a very charming village life with everything you need to live and dream.
Dinner at 'au bon clocher' and have the 'Cafe gourmand' and drinks at 'Bar des amis'.
The house itself has been carefully and exquisitely restored and meets the highest standards. The three terraces offer breathtaking views and sundowners.
Hikes are possible directly from the house.

The house is full of charm and character, and the views sont epoustouflantes ! Valerie met us with a warm welcome and was most helpful with a couple of things we needed.
Canari is a quiet village and the people are most friendly. We would love to go back.
If you go, gas/petrol is not as far away as you may think—20 to 30 minute drive at foreigner’s speed limit (i.e. slow) in Pino.

What a pleasure to spend almost three weeks in this classy and extraordinary house! We enjoyed everything, having breakfast on the vine roofed balcony, resting on the comfortable sunbeds after returning from hiking, swimming or sunbathing, strolling about in the charming little village, or simply admiring the stunning and varied landscape, having a sundowner on the large terrasse and admiring the setting of the sun which never seemed to happen in the same way.
The house has been equipped in very good style, minimalist and purist, a fascinating mixture of cool concrete, warm wood, exotic home accessories and beautiful art work.
The contact to the landlords who unfortunately we did not have the chance to meet during our stay was easy and reliable.
We had a wonderful vacation and returned home happy and with lots of lovely memories.
