About this house rental
Charming typical Basque house built in 2016. Its ideal situation, between sea and mountain, gives access to many varied activities. The house overlooks the hill of the village of Briscous where tranquility reigns.
Capacity: 8 to 10 people.
The house has 3 bedrooms (one with a dependency that can hold up to 3 extra beds), 2 double beds, 2 single beds that can be joined and a sofa bed.
Fully equipped kitchen: large fridge-freezer, dishwasher, oven, espresso machine, kettle, juicer, blender.
Living-room with a large dining room, sofa with a view of the village.
Terrace facing the panorama with dining table and sheltered garden furniture.
Large bathroom accessible for disabled guests with heated towel rail, hair dryer and straightener.

Nous avons passé un séjour parfait. Cette location est particulièrement adaptée pour une personne handicapée en fauteuil électrique ce qui était le cas pour une personne de notre famille. L'environnement est très calme avec une jolie vue sur le village. Grande terrasse pour profiter des soirées. Merci à Christine pour son accueil et sa gentillesse.

We came for a long stay of four weeks as we looked for a property to buy in the surrounding area. We weren’t successful in that respect after looking at 18 places, but we sure enjoyed staying in Christine’s three-year old house. In fact, it probably made our expectations too high as we looked at houses that were 10-100 years older and had all kinds of issues. Everything in this house is brand new, with all the latest window hardware and the best fixtures in the kitchen and bathrooms. The underfloor heating is really lovely.
Sitting on the deck in the evening with a cocktail looking out over the countryside only made us want to live here more. Briscous, although small, is really close to an autoroute exit, has a terrific bakery two minutes away at the bottom of the hill (they also make pizzas, of which we enjoyed on a few Saturday nights.) AND, right next door to the bakery is the French restaurant Joanto (1 Michelin Bib) that is just fabulous, and reasonably priced. Walking to a great restaurant is always a plus. There’s a little grocery store in town, and a pharmacy, and a tabac – for newspapers, etc.
We couldn’t have picked a better place to stay. This is probably our 10th rental house in France over the last 25-30 years, and it is by far the best ever! Thank you Christine!

Cette maison est très bien situé sur les hauteurs de Briscous avec une jolie vu vers le sud et le village. La maison est quasi neuve, et est très bien aménagée avec de beaux espaces pour une famille de 5 personnes. Les enfants ont adoré notamment la douche à l'extérieur ! Mme Gestas nous a très bien accueilli et a pris le temps de nous faire visiter son bien et nous expliquer les petites spécificités de la maison. Briscous permet de rejoindre très facilement plein de jolies villages à seulement 30 minutes de route. Bref la combinaison jolie maison neuve + jolie vue + situation géographique du village est vraiment très intéressante et nous vous recommandons bien entendu cette location. Et pour les plus chanceux (comme nous !) une biche et ses petits passeront peut être à quelques mètres de la maison !
