About this country house rental
Beautiful 19th century house with character, fully renovated, in a large park. There is a covered patio near the pool. The pool can be easily covered to keep it warm and clean. Excellent tennis courts and private sauna. 5 acres of private woodland leading up to the Lot border, 2.5 acres around the house is fenced off. A short walk through the orchard (from which you can pick fruit) and you will be at the river, ideal for a spot of fishing in peace. The décor is pretty and sophisticated, the furnishings are elegant and the whole atmosphere is very comfortable. An 18th century farm-style cottage acts as a games room. The house sits in the tourist regions of Lot and Garonne, where you can enjoy the magnificent golf courses at Castelnaud and Villeneuve sur Lot (6 miles away). Agen airport is 18 miles away and Bergerac 24 miles away.

Claudine's property is huge. We were a three families. My Family - two adults and three teenagers. My sister's family - two adults and two teenagers and my parents. And we were all accommodated very comfortably.
What to expect: A beautifully proportioned large house with loads of space both inside and out. Huge amounts of charm and historical features. Fun in the boat at the end of the garden which leads down to the River Lot. Tennis courts and swimming pool (which has a permanent hinged cover that you can raise).
This has been Claudine's family home for decades, so don't expect it be very modern, or clinical. Yet it has what you need for a good holiday. The pictures sum the house up well.

We had a fantastic time here. Claudine was there to greet us and give a tour, and was very patient with our terrible French. There were 8 of us, but the house and grounds are enormous so we really felt like we had a lot of room. We made good use of the outdoor areas, which are brilliant. A lot of BBQ, swimming, tennis and boating on the river. No day trips for us, just a very relaxing stay in a house that is quirky but loveable! We would definitely stay again.

Karakteristieke, oude maar verzorgde woning! Erg schoon en erg geschikt voor grote gezelschappen. Schoon en warm zwembad en een goed onderhouden tennisbaan. Vissen is mogelijk maar aan de rivierzijde is wel veel begroeiing en de bomen in en onder water maken het vissen onder de eigen kant erg lastig.
