Nestled right on the banks of the pristine Salmon River, our updated and restored Mt. Hood cabin sits on a private 1/2 acre amid old growth forest. At the cabin you experience what it feels like to be away from it all, with the sound of river and the sights and smells of the forest.
Our idyllic cabin boasts a full covered front porch featuring a custom-built outdoor dining table and Adirondack chairs. Additionally, there is the covered side patio with hot tub and gas BBQ. Inside you will find a beautiful river rock fireplace with woodstove, knotty pine wood walls, a fully updated/stocked kitchen and comfortable beds.
This is your gateway cabin to all the adventuring your heart desires: ski the slopes, mountain bike the Sandy Ridge Trail system, or hike any number of beautiful trails through old growth forests. If relaxation is more up your alley, our cabin has you covered too. Sit by the river, soak in the hot tub, relax with a good book by the wood burning stove, play a board game, complete a puzzle or spin some vinyl on the vintage stereo. We also offer smart T.V. and high-speed WiFi for streaming your favorite shows or if need be, to complete some work.

LOVE the new seating area w/ firepit by the river!!!We also love listening to the record player w/ the great musical selections!!! Thank you for that!!We are repeat visitors who love the rustic cabin vibe this place puts out!! I am sure we will be back asap!!!

My stay was wonderful and this property is perfect! I stayed for a week with my elderly dog for a final hiking trip before his hip dysplasia becomes too much for him to bear. The home is located close to trails, offers a main floor master suite, a beautiful outdoor area, hot tub, full kitchen, plenty of space and is riverfront. My dog loved sniffing around and watching the river flow by. He easily napped on the porch when he has never liked sleeping outside. I enjoyed the quiet, the feeling of seclusion close to anything I needed and being able to truly relax. I’ve never felt more at home. There was a blue jay that stopped by daily as well as butterflies. Plus there were minimal bugs. Thank you so much to the host. I’ll be back.

We enjoyed our stay in the cabin. The surroundings are beautiful and very peaceful. The cabin is well-equipped and has everything you need! And what a nice, sharp set of knives. The water pressure in the shower is amazing, and the showerhead is nice and high — great for us tall Europeans.Some downsides would be that the cleaning isn't done properly, both inside and outside. There are lots of cobwebs under the canopy and between the windows and screens. Nothing in the cabin is level, like the fridge, doors, or the washing machine, which makes it so the door can’t stay open and it gets moldy. We would also appreciate having curtains in the living room and bathroom. But overall very happy!
