House in the Trees
Welcome to the House in the Trees, a peaceful woodland retreat less than two miles from Beaver Stadium. Nestled on 1.3 wooded acres overlooking Slab Cabin Run, our home offers the relaxing feel of a forest getaway while keeping you less than 10 minutes from downtown State College and Penn State University.
The Space
This recently remodeled ranch-style home is built into the hillside and filled with windows that bring the beauty of the surrounding woods indoors. Comfortable plank flooring runs throughout, and the uncluttered interior offers a clean, welcoming place to relax.
One of the highlights is the spacious cantilevered deck, perfect for morning coffee, an afternoon unwinding beneath the trees, or listening to the creek below.
The home is handicap accessible, and well-behaved dogs are welcome.

The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to prepare meals during your stay:

Pots, pans, and basic cooking supplies

The home sleeps guests comfortably across three bedrooms plus additional sleeping space:

Location and Getting Around
Beaver Stadium is about a 35-minute walk or a quick drive of less than two miles away. On game days, guests can also drive to Hills Plaza and take the shuttle to and from the stadium.
Happy Valley Brewing Company, a popular local brewery and restaurant, is within walking distance. Downtown State College, Penn State University, restaurants, shops, and local attractions are all less than 10 minutes away.

We had a fantastic graduation weekend at this adorable midcentry house. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen was clean, and the light & views were relaxing and wonderful. Thank you Lisa for allowing our family, and dog, to experience State College at your home.

The only issue we had was that the wi-fi password was not provided and there is no access to wi-fi without it because of the location.

We had a lovely stay in this beautiful home. It was a perfect spot for our daughters graduation celebration. Nice space to visit, kitchen well appointed. Beds comfy and had everthing we needed. Loved the views and the proximity to the school. Wonderful visit.

The property was as advertised. As multiple reviews had previously stated, there is significant truck traffic that can be heard from the house. But the house was lovely and we found a great park down the road. We also figured out how to walk the 2 miles to the stadium through the parks for the game. We enjoyed our stay.
