About this cottage rental
Authentic "Cevenole" house built in the 17th century, restored with care and providing all modern conveniences, set at the end of a charming 1,5km winding road in a hamlet of 9 houses.
The environment is outstanding, poised at the gates of the Cévennes and the Grands Causses.
Swimming in the Vis river is 5 minutes away by car and you can also swim in the Hérault river
ARRIVALS
- On the day of your choise for a minimum of 4 nights
- EXCEPT in JULY and AUGUST, stays are organized from Saturday to Saturday

- Activities: Canoeing -- hiking -- biking -- fishing -- rock climbing -- donkey riding....

Reserved parking just behind the house
Large terrace furnished with a large plancha - Hamac
The house has a large fully equipped kitchen
Large dining/living room: Big TV - board games - books - DVD player - stereo - Free Wi-Fi
2 confortable bedrooms:
- One bedroom with 1 double bed (1,40 x 1,90)
- One bedroom with 2 single beds ( 0,90 x 1,90)
1 bathroom with shower -- 1 toilet separate
Laundry room: washing machine -- ironing table with iron (also available for the second cottage)
Option of cleaning service (at the end of your stay)
One can rent sheets and household linen
There is a security deposit of 300 €

Placed in a hamlet above the regions' most popular river bathing location (the Vis cascade), the spacious appartment (for 4, but with additionally available space for more people) is located ideally for excursions into the valleys of the Vis, the Herault, and the Buèges. From the hamlet itself, one can do a nice hike to a freely accessible cave with hints of stalactite formation to do before finally visiting the wonder of the Grotte des Desmoiselles. The heart of the appartment is a spacious terrace from which one can gaaze over the Cevenne scenery during the day and observe the moon rise (or the stars) at night. There is wifi, a large TV screen, and in the garden there is a source-linked freshwater basin others would rightfully announce as a pool. Very easy communication with the host. A carefree experience in a wonderful setting.

I stayed at this 300+ year old property with various family members and friends for a month. The apartment, part of a small hamlet half way up a small mountain, was wonderful. The views from the patio and kitchen were sublime. Also, the adjoining lawns and gardens are huge. The hosts were very accommodating and responsive. There are several hikes available right from the property and a lovely waterfall and rock swimming beach at the base of the mountain. The apartment is 1 hour north of Montpellier and there are several other day trips in the region such as a visit to Saint Guilhem-le-Désert. A true taste of French country life.

Gîte remarquable par sa situation: en pleine nature, au calme , avec une superbe vue sur les montagnes des Cevennes. Son accès avec une route étroite et sinueuse contribue au charme de cette location. Propriétaires forts sympathiques et soucieux du bien être des locataires ; Gîte propre,accueillant avec beaucoup de cachet.Très fonctionnel avec toutes les commodités. Belles découvertes à faire dans un périmètre assez proche (cascades superbes à 2km, cirque de Navacelle à 35 km ect..). Bref, un endroit parfait pour se ressourcer et pour lequel nous reviendrons avec plaisir.
